My Visit to the Teaching Hospital, Federal University Lafia
Today was quite eventful and purpose driven. I visited the Teaching Hospital of the Federal University Lafia, located inside town.
The purpose of my visit was to deliver a message and important items to a distinguished guest—Mr. Yakubu—who happens to be the Chief Launcher of an upcoming program we are organizing.
Mr. Yakubu is a lecturer at Mustapha Akwei Polytechnic in Lafia. He was officially invited to serve as the Chief Launcher of our event, and as a sign of respect and protocol, I took it upon myself to deliver both the formal invitation letter and a bottle of wine personally to him. Establishing strong relationships and ensuring that our dignitaries feel honored and valued is an essential part of planning any successful event.
Earlier in the day, when we reached out to Mr. Yakubu, he informed us that he was not at home. Instead, he mentioned that he was currently at the hospital for a medical check-up. He resides in Nasarawa Eggon, but he was in Lafia to see his doctor at the Teaching Hospital of Federal University Lafia. Upon hearing this, I quickly made arrangements and rushed to the hospital to catch up with him before he would leave.
I believe in doing things promptly, especially when they involve people who are supporting us or playing a key role in our projects. Reaching out to Mr. Yakubu at the hospital may not have been the most convenient approach, but it was necessary. Thankfully, I met him there, and I was able to formally hand over the wine and his invitation letter. He appreciated the effort and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting our program.
While I was at the hospital, I took a moment to snap a photo in front of the main entrance. The weather was bright and sunny, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to capture the moment, as the backdrop showcased the signage of the Teaching Hospital clearly. It was a proud moment to represent our organizing team, knowing that the steps we’re taking now will contribute greatly to the success of the event we are working so hard to put together.
After completing the delivery, I returned with a sense of fulfillment. Today wasn’t just about running an errand it was about showing dedication, building bridges, and taking initiative. These small but intentional efforts matter in leadership and event coordination.
As the day winds down, I reflect on how important it is to follow through on commitments and be proactive. The ability to act swiftly, communicate respectfully, and represent a cause with pride are traits that I continually strive to develop. Today was a step forward in that journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way. Let me have your comments in the comments section I'm also inviting you all, especially those in Lafia Nasarawa State in particular. The event is gonna be massive so try and be our guest. Hahaha 🤣🤣 I can't wait to see you all. Thank you y'all.
I wish you success in your upcoming event. It's good to honour your guest and you did the right thing by going there. How's the heat in Lafia?
Thank you dear.
