LOH Contest #263 - Important Lessons For My Children

Hello friends, welcome to my blog. This week question is prompted by @trucklife-family, and I will be responding to the first question for the #ladiesofhive #contest. Parents are admonished to train their children in the way they should go because that upbringing or lessons taught to them from early stage is what they carry them through life, shapeing their behaviors and overall lifestyles even when we are no longer there.

What important lessons do I want to teach my children?
Firstly, I value respect and love. Both of these qualities work well together, and I want to teach my children the importance of respect, irrespective of class, culture, and race. Looking at the current behavioral pattern of children in this present time, you would notice that they lack this important quality probably because their parents didn't see it as important or don't know the value of inculcating such in their children and that's why there's no respect for family values and relationships. These have caused future implications on the child and the society at large.

One who is respectful is easily respected and valued by others. It opens the way for good connections that will make it easier to achieve ones goals. Surely, everyone loves to be around a respectful person. No one wants to keep company with a rude and disrespectful person.

Another most important lesson is love. This is important because we all need love, warmth, and happiness around us. The world is filled with so much hate and badness, love will make it easier to overlook the offense of others, to be forgiving and also look out for what is beneficial to others, not just ourselves.

Love will make our world a better place for everyone because we can't hurt those we truly love. I want my children to spread love, kindness, and happiness to everyone wherever they find themselves. Our world will be better and safe with love for people, and this will make me a happy and proud mother.

I totally agree with you. Most of the time, children grow up to reflect the virtues they learnt from childhood. Parents must be intentional about creating safe spaces for these good attributes like love and kindness to thrive

I agree to your point of view, most of the children today are influenced on what they saw and heard in the videos they watch or games they play that makes their behavior unpleasing or disrespectful
