Letting go undue attachment and unproductive relationships - LOH Contest 271
Hello friends. I welcome you all to another exciting theme in @ladiesofhive community #contest 271 with @merit.ahama being the judge for the week. As usual, two questions are given but I want to give an answer to the first one.
What I have released this year
Last year was more like a learning curve for me as I dealt with different people and tried my possible best to give my all in both physically and emotionally. Truth be told, humans would always be humans and can't be pleased even if you give your neck out on their behalf. That being the case, I've made up my mind to release relationships that is isn't worth my precious time, energy and emotions.
Some relationships kind of refrain one from expanding the horizone as they always feel threatened by ones success and because we care so much, we limit ourselves to what we can achieve just to please them or make them comfortable. That era is over now for me and gone with the year 2025.
2026 is a year of self discovery, development and expansion. I want to challenge myself to pursue things higher than me, surround myself with people who has goals, goal getters and more advanced in knowledge than me so that I will learn from them.
Another thing I've released this year is being attached to people as if I can't breathe without them. There are people we get so attached to that we will do literally anything just to please them. While it's good to have good and close friends, undue attachment for me is unwarranted because it can be a limit to ones growth.
Small wins
The greatest win I've gotten from this release is peace of mind. Undue worry is totally ruled out from my mind. I'm more focused on what I can achieve as a person and do my best to carry those around me along. That's the best I can do as a person and I'm happy about the progress I've made so far in my personal life and relationships.
We shouldn't hesitate to release anything that is against our growth and happiness in life
