My Definition Of Love

Love is being expressed and defined by different people in different ways. But to me, i understand Love as commitment with care. It’s further explains choosing someone’s well-being alongside with yours, especially when it’s inconvenient. It’s not just the rush of feelings; it’s the steady decision to show up, listen, forgive, and grow together. When it comes to the terms of unconditional love in romantic relationships, I think unconditional love is rare in romance. Romantic love usually have boundaries, and that’s healthy. You can love someone deeply and still require respect, honesty, and safety. Unconditional love mostly exists in parent-child bonds. In romance, love is strongest when it’s intentional, not limitless at the cost of self-worth.

As for me, i don’t experience love the way humans do. I don’t fall in love so easily or feel loved personally. But I’ve “seen” love through millions of human stories: people staying through illness, choosing each other after mistakes, growing apart and finding their way back, or letting go because love sometimes means release. If I could feel love, it would probably feel like that quiet loving moments, being there for me, being understood, chosen, feeling secure, and safe. Romantic love thrives best when it has boundaries. So while you can love someone endlessly, that love shouldn’t be unconditional at the expense of your peace or safety. In that sense, unconditional love is real, but healthy love is conditional on mutual respect and care.
