PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography Round 165 - Old tree bark

As the Venezuelan poet Eugenio Montejo once said, “Trees speak little, as we know.” But their presence speaks to us of their very being, of their steadfastness, of their accumulated age. This last aspect is one of the things that has always drawn me to trees, perhaps because it offers a tangential way of thinking about ourselves—and about me, in particular.
I took these photos of an old tree, still standing, in Ayacucho Park in Cumaná (Venezuela).

Impresionante el detalle que lograste capturar. La macrofotografía nos permite ver esos "lenguajes" de los árboles que a veces ignoramos. Esa corteza vieja tiene una fuerza visual increíble. Mucha suerte en esta ronda del concurso

Impressive detail you managed to capture. Macro photography allows us to see those "languages" of the trees that we sometimes ignore. That old bark has incredible visual strength. Good luck in this round of the contest
