Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #226 and Sophisticated Fight (Remake Versions)

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I also talk about an OST track that I like. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway. I chose a track from the demo for the Trails in the Sky Remake. The full game comes out in less than a month, but they released a demo for the prologue that should take people around 5-6 hours on normal difficulty. I am playing on nightmare difficulty and it reminds me of how hard the original game was with just two people at the start without quartz setup. I expect this demo to take me around 8 or 9 hours because of the difficulty, and when the full game releases, my progress stays.

Sophisticated Fight

I chose Sophisticated Fight as this week's track because it's honestly my favorite track from the remake so far. It is so nostalgic, as they improved the original track. I did talk about this in a previous giveaway, but this track plays during battles. In the remake for Trails in the Sky, there is an action battle version that plays when you fight on the field, but it turns into the command version when you swap over to the turn-based version. The switch over between them is seamless, and I like how they added more instruments when you are in the turn-based version. I found myself going to the turn-based version more after I stun the enemy because I like the music track more. It's amazing to listen to how amazing the normal battle music is, and I love how faithful it is to the original versions. Overall, I like the command version more.

Honestly, this track makes me remember the times when I played Trials in the Sky for the first time on the PSP. I love how it is, and I decided to just leave it with the original plus Zanmei versions. I am unable to rank the Zanmei version and the command version because both are great. Though when it came down to things when I wrote this post, I think Zanmei version edges ahead slightly.

I gained 117k STARBITS over the past week. I didn't play as much this week, and I didn't get anything notable from my pack openings.

Current Ranking

My rank went down by 7, but I did play a bit less compared to last week. I'll have to make an effort to play more because I prefer to stay in the top 100.

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
