Thankful for health

It's almost halfway through the year, and at the beginning, we all have plans and goals we want to smash by the end of the year, and some by the middle of the year. I set those goals too, but as of now, what I'm thankful for is my life and good health.

I'm not going to talk about how we often neglect our health and don't see its importance until we fall sick—no. I'm deeply thankful for my health this year because of what I experienced. Although the other plans and goals I set to achieve by the end of the year have been delayed, I'm still grateful for my health and life.

Earlier this year, around February, I had a very severe sickness that rendered two weeks of my life completely useless. I was so down in pain, pinned to one spot, and couldn’t do anything or fend for myself. It was so bad that, even though I initially wanted to rely solely on medications at home, I eventually had to resort to visiting the hospital, which turned out to be the only solution, as the medications I was using at home seemed ineffective.

It's not like I didn’t know the importance of health to one’s life—I did. But after that moment, I saw many more reasons to be continuously grateful, even though I spent two weeks without hustling and instead spent a lot of money on treatment.

During the time of sickness, I knew I was not going to die, but the pain was so much that I just wished to be relieved quickly. Unfortunately, it lasted for two full weeks before I was totally well and okay. I'm grateful for coming out of such pain and for not bearing it for longer, because I’ve seen people who battled sickness for a whole month, some for half a year, and others who sadly died during the course of their illness.

I’m grateful because I’m back on my feet and hustling again—because I’m alive and healthy. It is only he who has health that can go out to look for money and smash the goals set at the beginning of the year.

One of the goals I set this year was to be very consistent in blogging on this platform, and I have been keeping up with it since I set the goal. I have been posting consistently, and the only time I missed was the week(or a week and some days) when I fell sick and didn’t have the strength to write. I'm back on track now, and I’m very thankful for that.

Normally, we don't appreciate something that is always there until it is either tampered with or gone. I am glad you learned during that period of trial. Health is an expensive commodity, you won't know the value until you are down.

Thank God for healings.

Thanks for sharing man.
