On Sunday, August 3, the lobby of the Lidotel Barquisimeto was filled with the aroma of coffee. The excellent facilities hosted the Third Regional Aeropress Lara 2025. The competition consists of testing registered participants, who must excel at preparing coffee using the Aeropress method, a trademark that promotes its products through this competition.
This type of marketing strategy not only increases brand awareness but also serves as a means of creating bonds with both the people participating in the competition and the audience who come to support their friends and family and anyone else who comes to enjoy the event. This also gives them recognition and prestige within the market, and it is a competition that is held in all regions of the country, with the lucky regional winners going on to participate in the national competition and then having the opportunity to travel and represent Venezuela in the international competition, which this year will be held in Seoul.
El domingo 3 de agosto, el vestíbulo del Lidotel Barquisimeto se llenó del aroma del café. Las excelentes instalaciones acogieron la Tercera Regional Aeropress Lara 2025. La competición consiste en poner a prueba a los participantes inscritos, que deben destacar en la preparación de café utilizando el método Aeropress, una marca comercial que promociona sus productos a través de esta competición.
Este tipo de estrategia de marketing no solo aumenta la notoriedad de la marca, sino que también sirve como medio para crear vínculos tanto con las personas que participan en la competición como con el público que acude a apoyar a sus amigos y familiares y a cualquiera que venga a disfrutar del evento. Esto también les da reconocimiento y prestigio dentro del mercado, y se trata de una competición que se celebra en todas las regiones del país, en la que los afortunados ganadores regionales pasan a participar en la competición nacional y luego tienen la oportunidad de viajar y representar a Venezuela en la competición internacional, que este año se celebrará en Seúl.
The Impetu Cafe brand was one of the main sponsors of the regional competition and co-organizers of the event. The competition took place at the same time as a small food fair was being held in the hotel lobby.
From the outset, the participants got down to work and strove to be among the best. Each was assigned a color, and the jury did not know which color corresponded to each participant, in order to make the competition more transparent. The jury proceeded to taste each of the coffees, and in this way, some were eliminated and others classified, until only the four best remained, who went on to the final round, where the winner of the regional competition would be chosen, who would then travel to the national competition.
La marca Impetu Cafe fue uno de los principales patrocinadores de la competición regional y coorganizadores del evento. La competición tuvo lugar al mismo tiempo que se celebraba una pequeña feria gastronómica en el vestíbulo del hotel.
Desde el principio, los participantes se pusieron manos a la obra y se esforzaron por estar entre los mejores. A cada uno se le asignó un color, y el jurado no sabía qué color correspondía a cada participante, con el fin de que la competición fuera más transparente. El jurado procedió a degustar cada uno de los cafés y, de esta manera, algunos fueron eliminados y otros clasificados, hasta que solo quedaron los cuatro mejores, que pasaron a la ronda final, donde se elegiría al ganador de la competición regional, que luego viajaría a la competición nacional.
The audience took a few moments to sample some cheeses and sweets from the brands participating in the food exhibition and also to enjoy a coffee from the sponsoring brands. These included Impetu, Café Marbella, and Flor de Arauca. I had about three cups of the latter, because I'm addicted to that drink.
El público aprovechó unos momentos para degustar algunos quesos y dulces de las marcas participantes en la exposición gastronómica y también para tomar un café de las marcas patrocinadoras. Estaban Impetu, Café Marbella y Flor de Arauca. Yo tomé unas tres tazas de esta última, porque soy adicto a esa bebida.
When the final moment arrived, the participants were visibly excited. They began by awarding the prize for fourth place and then presented the trophy to third place. Only two remained, and everyone was satisfied with the result. It was a fair competition, won by the person who excelled in the technique of preparing coffee with the Aeropress brand product.
Now he has to prepare to travel to the national competition and is surely eager to represent Venezuela in the international competition. Let's hope someone from Larens wins that prize. He was advised to start applying for his passport, because the international competition is scheduled for December.
At the end of the event, I had another coffee and got ready to go to another event that would take place later in the pool area, which I will talk about in another post. .

Cuando llegó el momento final, los participantes estaban visiblemente emocionados. Comenzaron entregando el premio al cuarto puesto y luego entregaron el trofeo al tercer puesto. Solo quedaban dos, y todos estaban satisfechos con el resultado. Fue una competición justa, ganada por la persona que destacó en la técnica de preparar café con el producto de la marca Aeropress.
Ahora tiene que prepararse para viajar a la competición nacional y seguramente está ansioso por ser el representante de Venezuela en la competición internacional. Esperemos que sea alguien de Larens quien gane ese premio. Le aconsejaron que empezara a solicitar su pasaporte, porque la competición internacional está prevista para diciembre.
Al final del evento, tomé otro café y me preparé para ir a otro evento que tendría lugar más tarde en la zona de la piscina, del que hablaré en otro post. .

Son eventos bastante cool, yo fuí a uno hace unas semanas en Valencia, es interesante ese mundo del café.
Si, me gusta aprender mas de ese mundo. El evento estuvo chévere y el lugar me gusto, soy tierruo para los altos standars de las eminencias hiverinas, pero tengo algo de glamour 😆

What a memorable day! I so love the atmosphere with the presence of coffee and its perfect pair. I am a coffee lover but since I had a recent medical condition, caffeine is a no, no to me.
