On Saturday I attended the bazaar called Expo Comercial Barquisimeto. This is an activity that is being done every weekend, on Fridays and Saturdays, for four consecutive weekends. Last week I could not attend because I was busy in other activities, but this time I went, because they announced that they would have a cosplay catwalk, that encouraged me to go.
I think the organizers are the same ones who organize a bazaar at Tantra, a very well known place in the city. This same bazaar was held last year, but the location was Manga Juan Canelon, which I could not attend, because it is very far away and I think I do not combine the bazaar with the activities of coleo in this area. This time the site chosen for the bazaar was the Centro Comercial Los Proceres.
El sábado asistí al bazar llamado Expo Comercial Barquisimeto. Esta es una actividad que se está haciendo todos los fines de semana, los viernes y sábados, durante cuatro fines de semana consecutivos. La semana pasada no pude asistir porque estaba ocupada en otras actividades, pero esta vez fui, porque anunciaron que tendrían una pasarela de cosplay, eso me animó a ir.
Creo que los organizadores son los mismos que organizan un bazar en Tantra, un lugar muy conocido en la ciudad. Este mismo bazar se celebró el año pasado, pero la ubicación fue la Manga Juan Canelon, a la que no pude asistir, porque me queda muy lejos y creo que no compagino el bazar con las actividades de coleo en esta zona. En esta ocasión el sitio elegido para el bazar fue el Centro Comercial Los Proceres.
First time visiting this mall. I had never set foot there. Although it is located in the heart of the east of the city. Near the Flor de Venezuela and the Sambil , it never caught my attention It is spacious and has several floors with a variety of stores. On the first floor is a Pizza de Verdad franchise store, and it's the one I've seen quite busy in the evenings when I've been in the area.
The Bazaar took place inside one of the areas of the mall, it was a large space where you could find the small stands of the brands and stores that were participating that day. There were tattoo artists, clothing, handbags, jewelry, accessories.
I came across Donna Pet, a company that sells clothing and accessories for pets. My attention was drawn to a store called Dinohilos, whose products are made by a nine-year-old boy, who was there with his parents attending to people interested in his product.
Primera vez que visitaba este centro comercial. Nunca había puesto un pie allí. Aunque está ubicado en el corazón del este de la ciudad. Cerca de la Flor de Venezuela y el Sambil , nunca me llamó la atención Es amplio y tiene varios pisos con variedad de tiendas. En la planta baja hay una tienda de la franquicia Pizza de Verdad, y es la que he visto bastante concurrida por las noches cuando he estado por la zona.
El Bazar tuvo lugar dentro de una de las zonas del centro comercial, era un gran espacio donde se encontraban los pequeños stands de las marcas y comercios que participaban ese día. Había tatuadores, venta de ropa, bolsos, bisutería, complementos.
Me encontré con Donna Pet, una empresa que vende ropa y accesorios para mascotas. Me llamó la atención una tienda llamada Dinohilos, cuyos productos son elaborados por un niño de nueve años, que estaba allí con sus padres atendiendo a las personas interesadas en su producto.

In one of the stalls they sold alfajores, lemon pie and other sweets, they were quite cheap. I don't eat any of those, but those who tried them told me they were very good. At the tattoo artist booth there was a girl getting a live tattoo.
The cosplayers started to arrive and I started taking pictures, both of the stands and of the young people who were encouraged to go and participate in the Cosplay catwalk, which had a very low entry fee and the winner would win a cash prize.
En uno de los puestos vendían alfajores, lemon pie y otros dulces, eran bastante baratos. Yo no como nada de eso, pero los que los probaron me dijeron que estaban muy buenos. En el puesto de los tatuadores había una chica haciéndose un tatuaje en vivo.
Empezaron a llegar los cosplayers y me puse a hacer fotos, tanto de los stands como de los jóvenes que se animaban a ir a participar en la pasarela Cosplay, que tenía un precio de inscripción muy bajo y el ganador se llevaría un premio en metálico.

At five o'clock in the afternoon the Cosplay Catwalk began. The participants were passing one by one to make a representation of the character played. Several of the Cosplay I liked, elaborated by themselves, some had better care in the details, but the important thing is to have a good time and they enjoy every event and gathered to enjoy their passion.
A las cinco de la tarde comenzó la Pasarela Cosplay. Los participantes fueron pasando uno a uno para hacer una representación del personaje interpretado. Varios de los Cosplay me gustaron, elaborados por ellos mismos, algunos tenían mejor cuidado en los detalles, pero lo importante es pasarlo bien y ellos disfrutan de cada evento y se reunieron para disfrutar de su pasión.

At the end of the cosplay runway, the judges took some time to determine the winner. I didn't stay to see who won. I had to leave to get home early, because the next day there was a regional election process and I didn't want to be on the street that late.

Al final de la pasarela de cosplay, el jurado se tomó un tiempo para determinar el ganador. No me quedé a ver quién ganaba. Tuve que marcharme para llegar pronto a casa, porque al día siguiente había un proceso electoral regional y no quería estar en la calle tan tarde.

Saludos, no soy fan de este tipo de eventos. Sin embargo se ve interesante y con buenas propuestas. Creo que mi sobrino sería un loco enamorado de todas estas cosas que expusieron. Él es súper fan. Buen plan para pasar el rato.

I like cosplay events, lately there are a lot of cosplay gatherings in my city. Yeah, that cosplayer was really cute.
I think you really liked the last cosplay, it really looks spectacular, you took several pictures of it and it's very well done, the veins are great. I also love the girl dressed as a cowgirl. What strikes me and what I like is that these costumes are made by themselves and sometimes there is not much money to buy materials but still the passion for what they like makes the ingenuity powerful.
I haven't seen such events here, although I have seen bazaars, which are called flea markets. I also liked that section, especially the handmade ones and the one with the plants. It's great that you've been able to go to a shopping centre you didn't know about, it makes you find out about more events there and you can attend.

Ese centro comercial no lo había pisado porque eso es administrados por los militares 😆 pero como hicieron esa actividad allí, pues toco ir.
El fin de semana hay un encuntro cosplay, para ese voy , aunque me coincidió con otro evento. ese día veo como me multiplico.

Oh wow!!! I am amazed by the store where in the products were made by a 9-year old boy. We also have cosplays here in the Philippines before. But, seldomly heard of that event after the pandemic in 2022. However, we also has a lot of bazaars here selling hand-made products, DIYs, pre-loved clothes at a budget-friendly cost.
Wow! I have never been to cosplays but the photos you took and the way you described how the event went made me want to be there, too. It seems a lot of fun and the costumes are very interesting. I bet it takes a lot of time to prepare those, not to mention, the time spent thinking how it will look in the end. Very creative indeed!
I must add that what caught my attention was when you mentioned about the 9-year-old boy who made those cute items. At that age, it is good to know that he is using his creativity to earn and be part of such a vibrant community. I hope he can inspire more kids of his age to do the same or to spend their time to be more productive rather than spend it sitting in front of their computers.
