Pulao - The Rice Dish With Some Vegetables

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are doing great!

After taking a long break I am back again and today I'll share one of the amazing food recipe to make Pulao. If you are from India then I guess you have already heard about it but if you haven't then keep reading the blog and following the instruction to end up making such delicious dish.

All the food recipes that I have learnt are either from my grandmother or from my mother, all credit goes to them and I am so greatful that I learn cooking food at very young age and now as I live away from my parents and whenever I have time I prepare fool for myself. The aura of the food teleport me back to early days where I used to enjoy food at home prepared by my mom.

Pulao is basically rice mixed with vegetable and non vegetarians a we have another options which we call biryani and it's a virgin of but it has non veg in it and pulao have all salts of vegetables.

College going students are for young students who live away from there home this is a perfect recipe which is quick as well as yummy.

Let's start the preparation and here is the list of ingredients required and it will serve two people.

2 Onions
3 Tps Oil
2 Tps Coriander powder
2 Tps Red chilli powder
2 Tps Cumin
2 Tps Turmeric Powder
Salt- According to taste
3 Green chilli
Ginger garlic paste
1 Tomato
2 Tps Garam masala powder
2 Bowls of Basmati Rice
3 Potatoes

To make your food test delicious the very fast thing that you have to keep in mind is to use fresh vegetables. I bought all of these from vegetable market yesterday.

Now it's time for the preparation.

First thing first, we have to wash rice and we have to keep them underwater for almost 10 minutes. In pulao we use basmati rice the type of rice which are long in size and are soft. Make perfect rice this type is crucial.

Now take the onion and start chopping it in Moon shape and also peel of the potatoes and chop it in small cubes.

Here's a picture of me holding the chopped potatoes. You can use vegetable like carrot capsicum, peas and cauliflower. I like my potato pulao so I have only used potatoes.

This is pure mustard oil that I am holding in my hand, I have use this all cause it's pure, first of all and that is it give to your food is amazing.

And here the chopped tomato that will also go into the pulao.

Now take your pressure cooker and add some master all to it and let it heat on low flame for 2 minutes. All start heating you need to add cumin and coriander in it.

Let it go brown for a moment and then add the chopped onions into it.

Keep stirring it and let the onion turn golden brown. Below is the picture of masala Dani that you will find in every Indian household. And it has all the masalas or the spices that will go into your food.

It's time to add our masalas or spices over the onions. Set while and let it go again for 2 minutes. Spices provide you the perfect taste Aroma as well as colour, look how beautiful it looks!

Here I am adding the ginger garlic paste to it to give it more flavour.

Mix well and add the chopped potatoes into it and let it cook for another 5 minute. This is how it will look after 5 minutes and now it's time to add basmati rice do it.

Remove the water from the basmati rice and add those rise into the pressure cooker and mix it well with potatoes in it.

The another crucial think is to add the perfect amount of water over the rise so that it becomes soft and as long as possible.
Along with water you can also add pure desi ghi if you have,it will enhance the aroma and will help them to attain their full size.

Now close the lead of pressure cooker and let it go for 15 minutes till you hear two whistles.

This is how it finally turned out, the perfect aroma and balance of spices give this recipe
life and depth.

You can have it with buttermilk or curd or if you have desi gay than it's a carry on cake. This was all about today's recipe give it a try and do let me know how it done out for you cause minus delicious and I want yours to be delicious as well.
