Silencing the Sidekick

After forcing Hector to donate to the library, I returned to the mayor at night and received an old field guide as a reward. The mayor feared his assistant Jean-Marc would expose their dealings, so I tracked him down, knocked him out, and tried to move him through police-filled streets without being seen.

After threatening Hector, the newspaper man, as per the mayor requested, and made him donate to the library, I had to return to the mayor's house, but I had to return at night. As it was already dawn, I set up camp in the wild and slept till night time. And then I got ready to get to the mayor's house.

This time, I reached the mayor's office from the back, and they knew the front door was not open for me. And I went for the back door directly, and I knocked on it.

This time the mayor himself opened the door as his assistant was not there. And the mayor said he is worried that his assistant would open his mouth and say things that are untrue to those vulgar puritans at the newspaper.

The Mayor then showed Arthur the book that was donated by Victor after Arthur's successful threat and the Mayor gifted Arthur a book that's an old field guide.

Then the Mayor said his assistant Jean-Marc would open his mouth and say nasty things about the work that they did together, and that he also found some unsettling news about Arthur. So, Arthur decided to stop the assistant, as per the Mayor suggested.

I had to get to Jean-Marc's house next which the Mayor motioned is over on Rue De Zacharie, not so far from the Mayor's office. I started riding there and I did some mistake on my way, like running over a police so I had to start-over from the checkpoint.

When I reached the spot, I saw the man was walking towards his house. I had to confront him so I got off my horse and I started walking behind him.

Arthur asked Jean why he wanted to say those awful things and that scared Jean so he fell on the ground. Arthur punched him to make him unconscious.

I thought I'd have to kill him or maybe fight his gang but Arthur carried him out and I was asked to take hm to the Mayor's office without being seen.

I noticed all the streets had polices on guard so I was not really sure on how to take him out without being seen, but I still stowed him on my horseback as I had to take the horse anyway.
