FADS|TRENDS THAT FADED OR MADE A COMEBACK

I'm sure you remember many fads from yesteryear, those that faded, never to be seen again, and some that made a comeback. Please tell us about it.

Hi everyone, it's been a few days since I last sat down to write, and that's because I was having my routine check-ups every six months. That didn't leave me much time to think and write my articles, but thank God everything is going well.

There's a saying I always heard: "Wear what suits you," and I honestly took it literally. I remember wearing a long, floor-length, red bell-shaped skirt one Christmas; it was fashionable, and I felt I could pull it off, and I really liked it. I never wore mini skirts because they seemed too short, and I thought that with any movement I made, I'd accidentally reveal my underwear, like I saw happen to so many other girls.

In the photo above are my two sisters, and the one in the middle is my sister-in-law. That day was her wedding to my brother. As you can see, the hairstyle they were wearing was very fashionable. It was a kind of messy, almost disheveled hairstyle with a fringe at the nape of the neck.

They don't look bad in that photo, but I've seen others who looked not so good, and the truth is, fashion doesn't suit everyone.

One of the fashion trends I remember vividly, and which I wore a lot, was the black rubber band bracelets we made from the caps of baby food bottles. We'd collect tons of caps and remove the rubber bands to wear on our wrists as bracelets. It was a huge hit because even the boys wore them.

Those were good times and are now fond memories brought to us by the Silver Bloggers.
