I'm not sure what the explosion was but since they can't seem to reliably use it I'm guessing it's exactly what Aino said it was, a robot that makes desserts.

It's a little too crazy to think all this is happening. But it's been fun nevertheless. Also that catch by the Traveler. Nice job! The in-game cutscenes are getting more and more cinematic which I appreciate. I wonder how difficult it was for them to make the models move into those animations but they did a good job of it for sure!
