My experience and love of languages | LOH#240 [ENG/ESP]

English
I remember when I was 17 when I had to apply for possible majors and study options. I eagerly looked into a language program, but when I realized it was too far away and I didn't have the financial means, I had to look elsewhere. I've always had a passion for languages and accents, even the intonation of words in other countries. Although I don't know how to speak a language as such, I had periods where I even had to coach English, and I didn't do badly, although I must say it's not my favorite language.
One language I still want to learn more than any other is Japanese. For a few years, I even had several notebooks full of practice, both writing lyrics to learn them and reviewing words to learn. Likewise, since my favorite band is Japanese, I used to write song lyrics, making progress that surprised even me. But then, with all the university stuff, I had to put it aside, and I've only interacted occasionally, installing the well-known Duolingo. However, I'd still like to return to it at some point, as I really like the striking way the voice changes and adapts when producing the language.

Another language I came to like many years ago was Catalan. I first heard this language while watching the Dragon Ball cartoon on a local channel here; when they played it, the opening was in Spanish from Spain, the plot in Latin American, and the ending in Japanese, so it was a delight to watch, as always. They even alternated this, so I'd say that from then on, I got used to hearing various languages and intonations. It was during one of the episodes that they played the opening in Catalan, and I must say I really liked it. A few years later, while listening to a Spanish rapper I still follow to this day, he wrote a special song for a marathon held to raise funds for people with cancer, and it was performed entirely in Catalan. Although I only learned the song years later, it struck me as completely captivating.
I've also learned a few words in other languages, since my sister likes Portuguese and Italian, and we've interacted occasionally in conversations. And of course, since I like anime, I usually watch them in their original language with subtitles, which meant that on occasion I've been able to understand them without reading, which I must say made me quite happy. Music, without a doubt, in anime or in Japanese bands as such has something peculiar. When you look at the translations, the lyrics are usually romantic and with very direct messages that speak to our emotions or actions. Therefore, for a long time I've enjoyed listening to them, learning them, and singing them, obviously in their native language, which has greatly influenced my personality.
I feel that to learn a language, I must first know everything from the expressions to the timbre and accent of the voice, and it's something I can spend hours studying nonstop, obviously hoping to be able to study at some point and eventually have a proper interaction, like the one I dream of. So, here's my little contribution to the questions @saffisara brings us for this weekly discussion, which I hope you enjoy.

I bet you know english well as you even coached in it. And that is impressive concidering its not your favorite language.
Japanese is a interesting choice and how cool you even wrote lyrics and songs in that language 😉
But I know life sometimes makes it hard as things can come in the way that needs your focus and you forget a little if the time goes to long.
But I am sure you will learn it again and better in time, and just don't give up. I also love how you want to learn Catalan (never heard of before) but after what you mention up there it would be cool to know that language.
Thank you for sharing and Good luck.
Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers 🌷
