📷 Photofeed Contest - Wildlife Photography Round 158: Assassin Bugs
Hello photography lovers ❤️📷
Hello @photofeed
Photo Contest:

Reduviidae, most of whose members are known as assassin bugs, is a large, cosmopolitan family of insects in the suborder Heteroptera within the order Hemiptera (true bugs). While there are some drastic exceptions, most members of this family are fairly easy to recognize: They have relatively slender necks, a sturdy posture, and a prominent, hooked proboscis (sometimes known as a rostrum). Large specimens should be handled with care (or preferably not at all), as they sometimes defend themselves with painful stabs with their proboscis.
