A portrait of elementary school children during recess. I photographed them while visiting my third son. The children in the photo are happily sitting with their friends. Some are focused on their snacks, like the three boys and one boy sitting above, while two girls are happily chatting with their friends. This photo depicts a portrait with innocent faces, as they are still at an age where they are still engrossed in the world of play and, most importantly, eating. They are not yet living in the past and not yet living in the future, in other words, they are not yet worried about the future. The innocent faces of the children in this black and white photograph hold the power of memories, instantly recalling our own elementary school days.
