My New Year Resolution

Growing with Purpose in 2026

A new year always feels like a blank page, a fresh start, a chance to pause, reset, and begin again. And as I walk into 2026, I carry with me not just the lessons of the past year, but also a clearer vision of the kind of person I want to become. This year, my resolution is more than a list of goals, it's a mindset, a lifestyle shift, and a journey toward living with deeper intention.

I’ve come to realize that change doesn’t have to be loud or dramatic. It can start quietly, with small, consistent steps in the right direction. So, rather than setting overwhelming goals or making promises I might not be able to keep, I’ve decided to be more realistic, grounded, and intentional.

More than anything, I want to grow spiritually. I want to strengthen my relationship with God, not just in moments of crisis, but daily. I want to be intentional about prayer, reading the Word, and truly trusting Him with the areas of my life I often try to control. I don’t just want to speak about faith, I want to live it in my actions, in my decisions, and in how I treat people. My resolution is to grow in grace, peace, and wisdom, to be someone who carries light wherever I go.

I’ve also learned that it's okay to slow down. Rest is not laziness. This year, I want to be kinder to myself. I want to stop overthinking, to let go of guilt, and to be more present. Life is short, and worrying too much about things out of my control only drains the beauty from the present moment. This year, I will choose peace over pressure, and clarity over confusion.

From drinking more water, to sleeping better, eating mindfully, and being more active, I want to treat my body with love. I may not have it all figured out, but small habits matter. Even saying no to what drains me, these are things I’m prioritizing this year.

I’m choosing intentional connections over shallow ones. I want to invest in relationships that bring growth, honesty, and peace. I want to be there for the people who matter, to love deeply, forgive quickly, and speak kindly. Life’s too short for grudges or wasted energy.

This year, I want to stop comparing my timeline with others. I want to grow at my own pace, in my own lane, with my own focus. Whether it’s in my career, business, or personal dreams, I will show up consistently, not because I want to impress anyone, but because I owe it to myself to keep going.

So that’s it. My New Year resolution for 2026 isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being intentional. It’s about growth, not pressure. It’s about learning, unlearning, and becoming.
