PhotoFeed Contest - Wildlife Photography Round 129 // The troublemakers

Greetings dear friends, welcome to my blog. This is my first time participating in PhotoFeed Contest - Wildlife Photography. I live in the city and am always busy with work, so it's difficult for me to see wildlife. Only when I travel to rural areas for work do I take the opportunity to take some photos.

I had to travel to another municipality to hold a meeting with the community council. They decided to hold the meeting in the yard of one of the houses, and there they were, three peacocks. One of them was calm and seemed submissive, but the other two looked like they were looking for trouble.

The two peacocks were on guard the whole time, walking back and forth together, never separating, as if threatening, conversing. The lady warned us to be careful because they could attack; they were somewhat aggressive. When we sat down to start the meeting, they came closer and closer. I was nervous; they were very close to me, and I thought they would jump on me. At that moment, the lady scared them away, and they immediately lowered their feathers.

When the meeting ended, we left, and they remained there, once again on guard, watching us. I think this is the first time I have seen such territorial birds. They seem to have formed a bond with their owner and were willing to defend her at all costs.

This has been my participation in the PhotoFeed Contest - Wildlife Photography Round 129
