Reflection That Breeds Growth And Results
Self-appraisal is so good. This is a time when one sits to take stock of how things have been.
In doing this, one gets to realize how well he has fared in the past, and this will help him to restrategize ways on how to do better in the coming days and years.The academic year just ended, and currently we are in the summer holidays. This means so much for me because at this time the kids are home, and they will be for the next weeks till the second week in September.
Going for their graduation last Wednesday was a big thing for me because I had to think through how all went with us and at some point return with gratitude. I saw many areas where I did not perform well as a parent and made up my mind to do better in the coming years because we are just starting.
Self-appraisal helps one to tell himself those bitter truths that others may not have the moral courage to tell him. By so doing, one will develop more strategies to do things better in the coming times. As a family we don't feel like doing this either, and we have been growing and doing better.
