🥇 1st place: @hrechkosii.wla SPRINGTIME WALK (2022) - 5 pts - prize: 20% of the post's earnings + 300 Ecency points

This watercolor painting beautifully captures a dreamy, fairytale-like view of a townscape inspired by a visit to Przemyśl, Poland. The scene features old red-brick buildings bathed in soft, pastel light under a blue sky. In the foreground, lush, surreal plants in vibrant shades of pink, red, and violet grow over a low brick wall, blending nature with fantasy.
The artist was inspired by a recent trip to Przemyśl, where the charm of old streets and crumbling walls sparked the idea for this artwork. While the scene is based on a real location, she added whimsical, imaginary plants in her signature fairytale style, turning the painting into a nostalgic and surreal reinterpretation of reality.

At the heart of the scene stands a prominent architectural feature referred to as "the Cross", which is well lit and serves as a focal point. Surrounding it are historical buildings with classic European facades, and people are casually walking or gathering, giving the scene a lively yet peaceful atmosphere.

@bseffectdraw Retro boy - 3 pts - prize: 10% of the post's earnings + 100 ecency points

This digital artwork portrays a futuristic figure of retro boy wearing a sleek, reflective visor and a wrapped head covering. The character’s expression is calm yet powerful, with deep shadows and rich skin tones creating a strong sense of depth. The mask stands out with its metallic, armor-like texture, blending various hues that reflect surrounding light. The overall palette is bold and dynamic, enhancing the sci-fi atmosphere of the piece.

The artist experimented with a new style using a dark base color and layered facial tones to build the portrait. They particularly enjoyed creating the reflective mask, as it allowed them to explore texture and color variation. The work was done using Ibis Paint X and painted entirely with their fingers. The result is a powerful and imaginative character study with a futuristic edge.

@tezzmax The Needed Shout - (Scribble Drawing). - 3 pts - prize: 10% of the post's earnings + 100 ecency points

This expressive artwork features a portrait made entirely from chaotic, looping scribbles, forming the image of a man with his mouth wide open in a scream or shout. Despite the abstract style, the emotion is powerfully conveyed through the intense facial expression and bold black ink strokes.
The artist reflects on shouting as a personal emotional release. Though he doesn’t necessarily enjoy the act of shouting, he finds it therapeutic — a way to feel relief and improve his mood. He acknowledges that this might not be universally true, but for him, it feels real and effective. This piece visually represents that cathartic experience.
