UNEMPLOYMENT, STABLE ELECTRICITY AND INSECURITY

According to the prompt, it says that we should state three things we expect the government of our country to develop more on this year and truthfully there are three sectors in my country that I really hope the government can look into, because lack of development and growth has brought about a decline in the physical and mental well-being of the people in general.

Life has not been easy due to lack of financial and employment opportunities and people have to survive with whatever means possible that they can by hustling different jobs to be able to survive and live a worthy life. In essence, the government needs to do better in ensuring that people are well-taking care of.

There are three different aspects that are necessary for the government to work on and this includes the improvisation of electricity supply, creating employment opportunities and ensuring threatened security in the country.

One of the major areas that I would like the government of my country to work on this year, is to provide stable electricity supply for their Citizens because this is an essential need that everybody uses. Electricity is essential in the home, for businesses, for hospitals to be able to carry out their duties, for schools and so on. In Nigeria, we experience constant power outages and these has brought about a redundancy in economic growth. Most business owners complain about how the experience losses just because they cannot use normal electrical light but have to depend on external sources to carry out their businesses and this can be so expensive.

The second one is in terms of creating employment opportunities for Youths both in the government sector or in the private sector. There are so many unemployed Youths in the country and this has brought about a rise in crime rate because people tend to Survive by stealing, committing crimes, and hurting other people.

If the government can look into these and provide job opportunities for people this will reduce crime rate and provide sustainable employment opportunities for people to survive . In other words, if they cannot supply jobs they should empower entrepreneurs in their small businesses by providing training and grant support for people.

Lastly, insecurity in the country has become a problem for Citizens that has to hustle daily. Over the years, people has find it difficult to travel safely across state because of the issues of kidnappings and demands of high ransoms. The government should be able to strengthen security by ensuring that security agents are in place to tackle insecurity.
