NO TO HUMAN LIKE ROBOTS WITH FEELINGS

When I saw the prompt for this week's context on @scifimultiverse community I knew I had to jump on it because I remember watching a movie where they sold a premium robot that could do virtually everything a human being can do it could catch feelings, it can do the house chores, participate in activities is both social and emotional.

No doubt, watching that movie has changed my perspective on if robot or artificial intelligence should completely take over the human Space by actively participating in human rights and performing all that it can behold.

Based on the movie I watched, it is a story of how a man had a wife who was diagnosed of cancer and because of that she could not perform her duties as a wife in the home by taking care of her husband and the kid.

In order to help her reduce the stress and to take care of the house chores, the husband invested in buying a robot that could pass off as a human body and do things that human beings can do. It was a lady robot because they wanted it to perform feminine duties.

At the Beginning, everything was going well this robot could virtually do everything she could cook, clean the house, take care of the kids, it even acted as a health/therapy assistant for the sick wife, it also provided emotional support, Teaching the kids in their school work.

However, things took a wrong turn when we discovered that it could also perform sexual duties. Because the man has been lacking sexual activities due to his wife's illness, he basically fell when this robot could take care of him in that aspect but unfortunately things got worse when this robot started having deeper feelings for him. It got to a point that she became a threat to the household and even malfunctioned at some point. She killed the wife and also tried to kill the daughter but due to intervention she was overpowered.

These are one of the reasons why I don't think I will be investing in robots that has a human body and can have feelings that human beings have. This is so because when they malfunction they tend to become so possessive and dangerous at the same time.
