When you see some people eat some combination of foods you would wonder how they are actually enjoying it because it's so weird and somewhat on imaginable to picture anyone combining such kinds of foods. There are many weird food components in Nigeria and we can categorically states that these came up because of sapa or lack of money to buy the right ingredients to produce certain delicacies that we would want to satisfy our cravings.

One weird food combination that are engaged in is eating rice with okra soup. I only found it weird recently he went someone was acting up when she saw me enjoying my meal then I was wondering is not a normal thing to eat okra soup with rice because people do it with vegetables, sauce and so on. I snot talking about the boiled okro and stew, but the traditional one that is cooked with red oil, locust beans, okro, vegetables, goat meat and fish. The combo is always so amazing especially when eaten with the hands.

Another weird food combination I have seen people eat that I cannot imagine myself eating is eba and beans. Me personally, I find it difficult to eat eba with just any kind of soup talk less of downing an eba swallow with cooked beans as the soup.

I prefer my beans with plantain, pap or bread, while I love my eba swallow to go with vegetable soup, okro, ogbono, eforiro and so on. I can't even imagine it because it's so weird and doesn't feel right.

Personally, I believe these weird food combinations are common to students who do not have money to buy ingredients for soup. Then they go for cheap foodstuffs like garri and beans.

Thanks for stopping by my blog...

I think Eba (garri not Fufu) and beans is a nice combination, especially, if the beans is well cooked, and the pudding is thick. You should definitely try it.

I will admit that I had no idea what Eba was and had to look it up. Cassava flakes unless my source was wrong. Eba with Beans sounds like practical food on a limited budget. Much like Rice and Beans in much of the world. Or a bit like Papusa (Flour tortilla and beans).

No idea about the texture as Eba isn't available in Canada and no idea about whether it is culturally normal or kind of odd.

But it was fun to read about,

Thanks for sharing.

Okra soup with rice and being eaten with hand😅. People (including you) find this amazing but hey, it sounds awkward too with the 'drawy' okra and with bare hands 😅

But beans and Eba? That's a good combo. Although I know longer eat it since I have been living alone. We used to eat that a lot anytime we're tired of the surplus water yam in our farm.

One man's food is another's man's poison😅
