NIGERIA HAS BEEN TOUGH THIS YEAR

This year has been a roller coaster so far based on the insecurities and social issues that has clouded the affairs of the country. This year started not too well but we had hope as people of the country that things would get better all round. However, instead of things to get better, they are getting worse by the day and nothing is been done about it.

The issue of idnappings has become so rampant that people cannot go about their businesses in peace without the fear of been abducted or kidnapped. There are numerous Bandits in various hidden corners of the country that engage in Mass abductions of different classes of people including students, kids, workers, and other citizens.

They end up requesting for exorbitant ransom that people cannot afford. This is a major issue, because how would you expect a civil servant who is earning below the minimum wage pay a ransom of 50 million naira, if these people cannot afford it they end up killing them and wasting their lives.

It has gotten so bad that travell6that used to be fun has become a nightmare as these insecurities are constantly creating fear in the minds of people. It has also disrupted daily life activities as people plan themselves carefully before embarking on any journey.

The recently released movie by Etim Effiong "the herd" clearly depicts the insecurity happening where people were travelling by road and they were abducted and asked to pay ridiculous sums. The case of insecurity has become so bad that the international government has lend their voices when it became so bad that bandits were terrorizing Christian churches which can pass for genocides.

The president of the country has turned a complete deaf ear to the happenings and has refused to deploy security agencies to tackle the issue. People now live in fear and have to protect themselves which is almost impossible because the bandits are fully armed with ammunitions.

This year has been a tough one so far for Nigerians and Christians. The economic issues are so grave that there might be no hope for the average Nigerian.
