The ability to combine two different activities together is an art that requires time and energy in no matter what it is. In other words, balancing academic as an individual with other life commitments is a very big challenge that many people face and this happens because in our contemporary world we cannot just Focus on one phase of Our Lives especially when you want to acquire success.
To achieve one's goals and Career Development, people have to combine several aspects of their life, hence balancing them can be difficult because they required special needs. So be it a student, part-time worker, mother, a working class person, it is never easy to combine studying and work.
Truly, nothing comes easy in this life but with hard work, consistency and dedication, when you set our heart out to carry out a particular task or duties as a human we are strengthened in a supernatural way to carry it out.
For instance, in my quest for a search of jobs, I was advised to carry on a volunteering activity by going to a particular establishment and learning the entirety of the job, this has not been easy giving the fact that I have to juggle it up with family activities, side hustle activities, and meeting up with the distance to get to the facility.
Although, most people especially our elderly ones who sponsor their wards to school often think that they think that a student's only duty is to focus on the educational aspect and not engage in any other activity so as to get good grades and finish up alongside their set.
However, that is not the case which is why I will list what the various kinds of life commitments that can affect balancing an academic life, some of these include: Family Responsibilities which involves Taking care of younger siblings or helping out parents or relatives with household duties, partaking in Part-time or full-time jobs to support yourself personally or for educational purposes or your family as well, the case of Managing health conditions, church activities, volunteering in community activities, household activities, side hustles. It could also be that the student is Learning a new skill to help them attain an independent lifestyle such as fashion design, coding, baking, painting, web design and so on as this would be beneficial for them.
In balancing academics with life commitments, this is where time management comes to play. Time management is an important skill that helps you to organize your task and duties into smaller and manageable ones. Hence as a student, employing time management would help to arrange the task of academics and other activities thereby allowing you to stay focused in your academic pursue because it is important.
This would help students to plan their time as to when to study, go to classes, do assignments, attend tutorials and so on. It would also give them space and time to attend to other activities when the time is well planned.
In conclusion, balancing academics with other external activities of life is never easy no matter how people tell you. Even when you plan your time, somethings can come up urgently that requires attention and you would have to give up one activity for another. It all requires time and energy, coupled with good health.

I agree with you, even with proper planning and setting priorities, unplanned and unexpected stuffs still show up and at the end, one has to sacrifice one for the other.

💯💞💯.
truly parents do not see other burden that accompany a student's life, all they think is read and come out with a flying colours, not minding what the student has to cope with
