LOVE LANGUAGES ARE BENEFICIAL TO MAKE RELATIONSHIPS GROW

Hey hivers, it's been an hectic week so far and despite that we just have to plan well to put everything in place. This is another contest of the #hivenaija weekly PROMPT #15, which affords us to relate and reflect on how our love language has been beneficial and influential to our relationships with people.

You might not be a romantic person but as they say the little things you do to put smiles on your partners' face matters alot. Love language is how an individual likes or prefers to be loved or show love to his or her partner. There are several ways to show that you care about the other person and that you are constantly thinking about them and have their best interest at heart.

Types of love languages I know and have experienced are love languages that has to do with consistent assurance. Just as the popular musician same "give me assurance". Some people expresses their love in sweet words of assurance, they assure you of their undying and unrequited love, they choose you over other, they love you, they cherish you, you are the cocktoach in their cupboards, trust me those set of people are good with their words. Another sign of love language can be through flowers, sending lovely and sweet smelling flowers with romantic notes. It can also be by buying gifts, love language can be money, it can be touch and many more.

A love language can even be by cooking meals, washing clothes, cleaning, running errands and so on, I mean it is romantic when a guys cooks delicious meals for his woman. This can also be called an act of service to your partner.

My love language had to be act of service to both parties with gifts involved. One time I had someone who could go all out of his way to be there for me, then I used to wonder how one person can be so amazing in been there when they are needed the most. Since then that subtle act of service has informed my sense of belonging especially with people close to me. Although, people tend to take what you do for granted or I feel it's not much appreciated because a lot of money was not involved.

Acts of service can come in different ways, one time in school I had a friend who was so sick that the numerous journeys I made that day ehn, I was so restless at night. She couldn't eat this, I had to go out and get another, rushed her to the clinic, get drugs, fetch her water and all. Literally speaking, the whole day was dedicated to taking care of her and you know going a day without studying in the university can have a kind of dent of you. But its the way we show love to friends, lovers, families and so on that matters most. After everything, you are satisfied with your efforts.

I also love to spend quality time with whoever I am with, just you and me shutting the rest of the world out for some hours. Love is a beautiful no doubt.
