Loosing opportunities: blessing or curse

Every human is a victim of Lost opportunities in one way or the other because not everybody can make the best or perfect decision at certain points in their life. Some people have to let go of some opportunities that have come for them because something was not worth leaving that time. Personally, I have been a victim of Lost opportunities because for some reason I thought I deserved better than what was coming my way.

Back in 2019, I remember job hunting in Lagos. I went for a number of interviews at that time but none of them was successful based on the fact that I just recently finished my service and I did not have the required experience fitted for the job. One job I got one but turned it down because it's an insurance job. I got this job through a consulting firm that helps applicants to find jobs based on their experiences or their qualifications.

When I got the insurance job application I did everything necessary and I attended the interview. In the interview they asked me to market a pen i did it but I know it was not convincing enough. Unfortunately, I got an email to come for the second phase of the interview. I thought about it and was so curious that I cannot handle a marketing job. I didn't go for the second interview and that was how I lost the opportunity to grow in that sector.

Looking back now, I realized that was a great opportunity that I missed and if by 2019 I started with a marketing job that was going to pay a 65,000 naira salary, by now i would have grown in such a way that my salary will be up to 500k or more.

As they say, things happens for a reason and I am glad for where I am right now i do not have any regret still but this prompt just allow me to think back and relay my experiences.
