LOH 278: KINDNESS AND LAUGHTER

In the contemporary world where we live as humans who are faced with challenges of having to survive in the world that we are all on our own as the government has refused to support people to make a decent living, there are simple things that can make us happy without having to depend on expensive occasions or spend too much money to achieve some certain desires.

The prompt for this week's contest is about the simple joys we think the world needs more often. This is not far fetched because there are several acts that a human being can portray to the world and it would matter a lot. Personally, one of such is kindness. It really does not take a lot to be kind and these can happen in different moment be it small or big. Just last week, I was looking for an apartment to rent and to myself people around them and to call those who could help to help me find the place. This simple act was so big in my eyes because as a stranger in this land, I thought things would be difficult and hard to come by.

In essence, the world is already a space where people are dealing with a lot ranging from health issues, stress, work wahala, financial issues, fear and Heartbreaks, it would definitely go a long way if you choose to be kind to your fellow neighbor or friend.

Lastly, another thing I think we really need especially in my country Nigeria is laughter. For me personally, I have mastered the act of smiling and laughing through my challenges. Often times when I do not get this in the physical space i use social media such as Facebook, instagram, tiktok and YouTube. As we are all aware tiktok is a social media space that allows people to create content from different parts of the world. These content consists of comedies and natural pranks and they make you laugh to the extent that you forget yourself and your troubles at that moment.
