LOH #255: BIGGER HOUSES EQUALS HIGHER RESALE VALUE / LPUD

I have lived with my parents in this rented apartment for almost 10 years now and recently the owner of the house passed on. Throughout the years that we have lived in this house it was an old building where the painting has worn out and some of the utilities in the house are not working well such as the shower, taps and so on.

Recently, we got news that the children of the former owner had gotten the house through inheritance and wanted to renovate the entire buildings because they want to make it more modern and more fascinating. These people are abroad and due to the fact that the area has become civilized to an extent, they want to utilize this development to expand and upgrade their building so as to rent it out for a better price.

From my observations so far, if I have earned a good amount of money and I have options to to choose between two houses where one is big and beautiful but requires rigorous maintenance and the other is small but does not require me to invest my time and money in it because it is already made, I would go for the first option where the house is big and beautiful because I am a lover of spacious environment and it will serve a long term purpose due to the fact that my family would increase in the future and I would not want to be cramped in a space because of bad decisions.

There are challenges that one must face when purchasing an old big house but when you look at the value and the long term purpose for that purchase it would be worth it. Choice is based on personal backgrounds it's not a big deal if a person wants a small house that would not need maintenance but for me that wants a bigger space I would set out funds in place to carry out the necessary maintenance and renovations.

The challenges I would face is that they would cost me more in time and money, the repairs can be stressful at times because even the one we are living where the renovation is currently ongoing can be stressful at times because of the noise from breaking, dust as they cause headaches. But I know that with patience and discipline the end goal would be magnificent.

Another reason why I will choose a big house with a big space is for investment purpose, when did renovation is done right and everything is set in place to make it modernized and more civilized, it will be a great investment renting properties or for resale.

By renting, I mean when everywhere is looking beautiful, the walls are painted, the windows are changed, the bath rooms, the environment is interlocked and so on it would bring about a higher price for renting. Again if I decide to sell the house it will bring higher value in sales.

LEO POWER UP DAY
I Would also like to add that today being the 15th day of the month is the Leo power up day (LPUD) an event where people can power up their liquid Leo so as to boost their presence and contribution to the platform. For this month's LPUD, I would be powering up a token of 100 $Leos. My participation in the LPUD event has helped to contribute to the growth and development of the Leo ecosystem.
