LOH #243: SHY CHARACTER TRAITS

Everyone has something that they'd like to change about themselves. It might be a physical thing; a character trait; or anything at all. What is the ONE thing you would choose to change about yourself and why?

Different people in the world have different character traits that are peculiar to them alone. In accordance to this week's prompt for the @ladiesofhives community, something that I would love to change about myself which is a character trait is the ability to be more outgoing and that I can make friends easily and comfortably.

As an introvert, we are all aware that one characteristic trait that is peculiar to introverts is that they are shy and they keep to themselves more often. We also know that most introverts lack social skills hence, this limits their interactions with other people. From my experience so far, I am not as a bad as it seems but my circle of Friends is very small and I am glad that I have such people in my corner because they are always available and we help each other out.

Over the years, I have tried several methods that can help me get closer to other people and this includes joining a group or an activity in school, church or an organization. For example, we have book clubs, hobby circle and so on. Again during my degree at the university I was in active member in various units of my church activities this helped me to relate more with people and allow me to network with people that church similar interests with me.

In conclusion, not socializing witg other people is one character trait I am trying and working so hard to reverse. It got to a point that when I am invited for weddings, birthday parties, pool parties and so on, if I do not have someone I am going with I, will definitely cancel because I hate being alone in such occasions. But these days I am taking a bold step to navigate these activities.
