GIVING UP BECAUSE OF FAILURE CAN ONLY DELAY YOU

I had a friend back in the university some many years back and I remember a situation that happened concerning our results in 300 level, where the results for that semester was so bad that everyone got affected one way or the other. Apparently, my friend was kind of distracted throughout the course of the semester because she engaged in various activities that dissociated her from focusing on school work.
One time I remember when a lecturer give us an assignment to make a research on a particular topic for 2 weeks, if one was not careful you would forget the date and not be able to turn up their assignment. Unfortunately, the D-Day to submit their assignment came, I was already in school as early as possible because I had an elective class that day but when it was time for their assignment to be submitted I called my friend frequently so that she could meet up with the time frame. Her phone was ringing but she was not picking, apparently she was busy in the hostel washing clothes. She had totally forgotten that we were to submit an assignment at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon that day.
When she eventually picked her phone call, it was already 45 minutes late and she tried all she could to rush down to the campus so as to submit the assignment to the course representative. But unfortunately, the course representative at already submitted the assignment to the professor.
My friend and others were affected tried to meet up with the professor and convince him to collect their assignment although they were late. The professor is someone that is known amongst a student as being punctual in all that he does, we were skeptical that he would accept the assignment because he detest late coming to his class or to any event.
Just as we suspected, the professor did not accept the assignment of these students and awarded them zero for their continuous assessment.
At the end of the semester, when all exams have been carried out we all went home for a short break before the next semester would commence. On getting back to school, we when nervous because it was time to start seeing our results posted or pasted on the notice board.
Back then there was nothing like ICT to upload our results on the server, we had to rush to the Campus to check our names and grades on the notice board publicly. So this day, there was information that 5 of our resume with has been pasted at the same time on the notice board, on getting there we all checked our results and my friend discovered that but lecturer did not consider them at all but give them zero for their continuous assessment.
Like I mentioned earlier, my friend was quite distracted that semester and it affected our results as she didn't make a "C" in any course. The irony of the whole situation is that, while she did not make grades like A, B or C, she did not have an F as well, she was just stuck between D and E. It was a devastating semester by trust me the next session she had all As and a B in her grade.

I understand that these situations may arise, but the good thing that happened last semester is that I find it curious how they grade them.
I love how this story shows that failure is not the end but a lesson. Your friend’s bounce back with straight As the next session proves that setbacks can fuel determination. Sometimes, all we need is the courage to keep moving instead of giving up.
Beautiful story, sometimes when we face challenges we see it as the end of the road but it's not. It's just a stepping stone.
She did great by prioritizing her academics the next semester because most lecturers can be tough and difficult to deal with.
