FAMILIAL BONDS ARE STRONG

The common phrase we always hear that says 'blood is thicker than water' is actually a proverb but that is not its complete sentences rather the complete and original proverb is "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" .

Normally, it is believed that families are known to share a stronger Bond, connection and relationship that cannot compete with any other relationship, even friendship. However, from the original and complete proverb we can detect that it was modified in a modern way to give the description that blood is thicker than Water which concerns family. When we look at it the other way around, it goes to show that some certain choose bonds can be actually stronger than familial relationships. This could be in terms of promises made, friendship, covenant etc.

Based on my experience with life, I have two perspectives on the proverb which states that blood is thicker than water, this can also pose to be questions which is 'blood is thicker than water' and "is blood really thicker than water". I come from a family of four with two children a boy and a girl, and so far so good judging by our relationship and the bond we share I can boldly claim the statement that blood is thicker than Water is true. This is because my brother is my best friend whom I share everything with, we have grown up together for over 30 years and nothing has changed between us over the years. He supports and sees me through conflicts, we have been through so much together and our relationship is strong and deep.

My second perspective is based on people who have found solace outside familial relationships, the term "blood is thicker than Water" is reffered to friendships or chosen relationships which has stood the test of time and has become so valuable than family both mother, father, brother and sister. This is why we hear people talk about their friends in manners such as 'he is my brother from another mother'. In this case, outsiders can become dependable and loyal that relatives. Families abandon themselves so people build strong bonds with friends or spouses.

This is not my case though, because I experience the love and care needed from my family something that no other person can measure up to. Nonetheless, I have best friends whom I do not take for granted and we have been together for years now.

Finally, I aggree with the fact that blood is thicker than Water because there are families who are still strong in they are bonds and do not take their siblings or parents for

I totally agree with you dear.
Family is !INDEED everything no matter what.

Though, there are relationships we create with others that we view and take them as our family.

I know a girl that her Aunty takes care of her more than the mother.
But she doesn't really take her as family because to her, nobody can replace her family (her mother).
So, it was as if the Aunty was just trying too much to please her.
Well, I could say she is ungrateful and haven't understood life.
Family shouldn't be dragged, she shouldn't try so much to prove to her Aunty that she isn't her mother.
It's not just necessary.
