Excuses are one of the important virtues we have as human beings to be able to avoid some certain events or occasions although some excuses can be negative and positive but in all it is in necessity that comes handy. I have found myself in different occasions where I would not want to be involved any particular thing and to avoid it I give some weird excuses sometimes it could be done and creative at the same time but all the same it works. Going through this prompt today, I see that it is relatable and I would like to share a story where I gave an excuse that did not really happy just to not be part of that occasion.

One thing about me is that I turned really like traveling far distance is just to attend weddings of acquaintances that I am not too familiar with, I tend to analyze the risk, funds, bad roads, long distance that can cause sicknesses, to stress and so on. Hence, when I was invited for my colleagues wedding that was due to happen in kaduna state I had to come up with an excuse that will avoid me traveling for over 20 hours by road. Sometimes, this stress is not entirely necessary because it is a day event this is why I prefer to calculate my transport fare which would be over 30K and just transfer it as a gift to the couple.

The excuse I gave was one that was relatable especially to women because I had to come up with a story behind the fact that I can't make it because my period as it Would Tally with the said wedding date and that I experience heavy bleeding that does not allow me to travel long distances. This was my saving grace and it's worked perfectly well because it brought about a kind of sympathy for my human existence and was considerable for missing out or their wedding.

Just to prove myself, I sent my gift in monetary token just to show my support to the couple. Sometimes in this life, you should not risk yourself because of another person's happiness. At the end, I would be the one battling with severe headaches, body pains, tiredness, stress and so on from going and coming that long distance which would be a total of 40 hours journey on a weekend.
