"THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL PERSON IN MY LIFE"

Greetings to you all. It's good to be with you all again this week to talk about someone so close to our hear that's has influenced us for good .

For me, the most inspirational person in my life is my FATHER in the area of :

>INDUSTRIOUSNESS

>FOCUSED

>RESILIENT

From his name to his character and personality i would say he was really someone i looked up to.

His name is Mr AJIKE OCHU.
Born into a polygamous family, but took a great courage in caring for his mother and siblings.

His Name "AJIKE" means a "STRONG MAN". "A WORRIRIO" AND EVERYTHING ELSE ASSOCIATED WITH STRENGTH AND MIGHT.

He lived up to that name as he was a hard worker from childhood onwards even as a family man. He was among young men of his time who were forced into the Nigerian Biafrans war. Though he sustained major injuries then but he managed to survive.

Starting a family life, he happened to be amongst the few who built a house to their name as early as in his 20s. Ones he sets his mind on something, he would draw a plan, fix a date to it and check each step as they are accomplished.

He latter got married to my beloved mother against all odds as her family didn't support the religion my father was moving with as at the time he came for her hand in marriage, but his strong willed personality, good reputation and industrious attitude wined the heart of his in-laws

Their union was blessed with 8 children. 4Boys 4Girls who are all alive today.

As last of the 4Boys, I was his right hand boy. He took me everywhere he goes and I happened to know much about him and his activities more than the rest of us.
Growing under him, I got to learn to be a hard worker just like him. I also learnt to be intentional about anything I set my heart on. Plan it all out and execute each step within the alloted time. Should there be set backs which normally comes on life, never give up.
I also learnt to be detailed in anything am doing. Most of his normal conversation with people and Orla agreement and commitments, he would come back home and document them and place in a file.

Even most items in our house has dates on them.
He thought me to try some works at home by myself as there are tools for almost everything hand work in our house instead of always going to get someone to do it.
As a result, I do some carpentry work, plumbing, electrical, painting even mechanical works by myself.

Those fine attributes gave me a life to live, though he slept in death back in 2009, his memories are as new and fresh in my mind that it seems as if it was just yesterday we spoke last.
