I am a lover of music, I listen to variates of music but I really do not know what style they are, this topic have made me researched, gained knowledge, know my music well and even if this contest does not reach the level I would want it to reach I would still proudly be left with a truck of knowledge so it is a privilege to be here exploring the styles of music, which one gets to me and which one is more popular, stay tuned as you scroll down with me.

For the styles of music we have alot ranging from the Naija hip-hop, the Fuji, the highlife, the juju (actually the name sounds kind of funny though), the Afro pop and many more styles than I even know but the one I am convinced is more popular or should I say the one that have gained popularity over the past years is the Afrobeats.

WHAT THEN IS OUR FOCUS.
Afrobeats music entails varieties of instruments that is different instruments are been used to play Afrobeats which gives it that light or spirit of music. Some of the instruments which are mostly used are the drums 🥁 🥁 which are been played by the drummer, the keyboard ⌨️ which are been played by the keyboardist, we also have the guitar 🎸 🎸 🎸 which are been played by the guitarist, most important we have the horns, the flutes and many more instruments.

All these instruments been mentioned play a vital role in Afrobeats, they add a unique sense of texture to the performance of Afrobeats, some are like addition to the melody and vibe of the music while many more gives the basic foundation to Afrobeats. Afrobeats it self have varieties of styles involved in it addressing social and cultural issues, it has rich sounds that often carries meaning and most atimes tend to pass message to it's listeners, it tries to dive into mostly the modern generation type of music and the traditional type of music.

Generally now the influences that musicians have is from the Afrobeats, you see their type of music originating from Afrobeats music whereby it carries energy, carries richness, tries to educate it's listeners, uses multiple instruments that gives life to their music and touches the soul, you see this type of music that heals the soul and comfort the listener. It's origin is from cultural perspective with it unique sounds and style.

Nevertheless having multiple of styles been used in the music industry Afrobeats still remain the best and popularly know style of music, I hope I have not confused you further but rather convinced you that Afrobeats music generates life through instruments, styles, sounds and it's energy.
