Some Gaming Screenshots I'm Proud Of

Hey, hey! It's been a while! πŸ˜ŽπŸ“Έ

Although I already made my debut posting in this community with this post, I felt like I should take some time and drop a few more screenshots that have been stored for way too long, waiting to be seen by more people out there.

In the last couple of months, I didn't enjoy gaming as much as before for various reasons, but whenever I got the chance to, I ventured into some chill games that would include an open world for the sake of playing around with the in-game camera settings, and this time, the game that caught my attention was Riders Republic.

The first two shots taken are quite boring if you ask me, as they were part of a cutscene before entering some races with the skateboard. I was actually planning to do some of these moves on my own and capture the screenshots manually, but I failed terribly, as having too many successful tricks with the board turned into a big challenge, so I decided to go with these two.

On the opposite pole is this screenshot, though, where I was just exploring the map riding a BMX when I thought about trying the in-game camera for the first time. As you can see, there is not much adjusted other than the focus, but it was my first actual screenshot of this kind in Riders Republic, which made it quickly become one of my favourite screenshots just because it feels a bit more personal than the others.

Following up, one of the most enjoyed sports in this game was the mountain bike, where, if I remember right, the image from the top was actually taken during a glitch when the mission won't start, so I decided to play a bit more with the colouring, lighting and weather settings of the camera before restarting the game and I guess it was all worth it in the end, lol!

As soon as I discovered there is a setting to actually adjust the time of the day when you want to take a screenshot, as well as the weather, I decided it was about time to take a cool screenshot with each sport currently available in Riders Republic, so the next one was cycling on a road bike. Of course, I adjusted my clothing in each image, but I am not too happy about that because I was quite limited in terms of outfits to wear, haha.

After a few more successful screenshots, I dared to try again to capture an image on a skateboard, too. The trick ended up pretty boring as those that were a lot more advanced would require more buttons to be pressed at the same time, and be careful where you land, not to die, so I couldn't capture a better one yet. But I still loved the overall vibe of the image.

Still riding a board, I ended up with a less common image which definitely feels not that much closer to reality, but I loved the Ghost vibes with the outfit (which is used for snowboarding, btw), so I captured a screenshot with this one as well.

Last but not least, I decided to try something new and get a closer angle of my character, focusing more on the overall look than the bike. I am still not sure if it's a cool screenshot or not, but I think basic is not always the worst, right?

This is all for now. Although I am planning to return pretty soon with another batch of images, I am not sure when that will actually happen, but for now, I'd like to mention that this post will also take part in this contest where you can read more and even take part in.

PS: don't hesitate to judge my images, as I am actually looking for some feedback on these, so I can improve my skills of taking in-game screenshots with the camera that some of the games out there are offering. πŸ˜‰

Riders Republic is such a perfect choice for someone who loves playing with camera settings. Even if the skateboard cutscenes felt a bit standard to you, they serve as a great introduction to the vibrant energy of the game.

I liked the fourth photo the most, the bike jump.

Thanks! Even if many people hate Ubisoft and their games, I honestly find them as having some of the best settings for in-game cameras.

I actually really like the BMX screenshot you mentioned. There is something special about those first manual captures where you're just testing the focus.

Your timing on the mountain bike glitch produced a surprisingly beautiful result. It is funny how a game glitch ended up giving you one of your best shots.

Every single photo is amazing. But I liked the photo of the mountain bike. Never thought this game would have the photo mode option.

Most of Ubisoft's games have quite impressive settings for the in-game cameras. But yeah, there are lots of settings to play with when it comes to Riders Republic πŸ˜‰
