Just Got My Worldmappin & Hive Goodie Bag!

Nearly two months ago I got one of the best notifications in my account, being tagged in a @worldmappin post, but not the usual ones travel-related that I sort of got used to, after being featured within for almost 8 years!

The notification was from this post where they announced the winners of one of their fantastic giveaways, also finding my name on the winners section for the goodie bag. Funny thing is that I thought it was just a t-shirt as they posted in their article! 😂

So, attached you can see what the goodie bag came with, where I will present them one by one shortly, but not before blaming the post office from Romania, which does a terrible job handling the packages sent through this way.

First, the package was shipped on 14th September, and I only managed to claim it on 31st October! I don't have a lot of experience with receiving packages through the post office, but I do know that Romania's post office rarely notifies someone about their package. In most cases, the recipients are needed to track their packages manually and to report themselves when the package is shown as having arrived at the local post office and then go get it. I didn't mention the shipping method directly at home because that never happened and perhaps, will never be possible, ugh!

So, at first I thought it was normal to take so long for being shipped because of how slow the post office works in Romania, but my sister received something from the same country still through the post office in less than a week, and this got me really confused! Not to mention the constant worry of having the package lost, since I have previous experience.

The single thing I could do is to get in touch with the post office from time to time and ask if any package arrived in my name, but the answer was always the same: no.

... until 30th October, when I got a phone call from a lady stating that I have a package in my name that has been at the post office since 24th September, not even October! And that if I don't get it by the end of 31st October, it will be returned. So I made my way to the post office first thing in the next morning, as it was too late to get it on the same day the post office being located way too far from where I am living. But the next day I finally got it! What a journey!

Before we dive in and make the unboxing together, I want to take a moment and thank @detlev for sending this out and @lizanomadsoul for constantly keeping in touch with me. I might have been a bit stressful as the excitement made me very impatient, but I am grateful for finally having a whole Hive goodie bag, and also my outfit ready for future travels! ❤️

First things first, the Hive themed drawstring backpack that is made out of recycled materials, but still feels very nice and of great quality! Also, a perfect way to carry your stuff without needing to have a big backpack on your shoulders.

Then, lots of stickers! Two rally-themed stickers and lots of Worldmappin ones that I can't wait to find a good place for each of them during my trips from now on.

Next up, Hive-themed t-shirt and lanyard from the Hive Summit in Aachen, Germany. It's funny and sad at the same time how, in almost 8 years since I joined the chain, I never managed to make it to any HiveFest or summits, but I still got my merch ready for it!

One small but really lovely item in the goodie bag, which got me so excited, was the Hive seeds that come from common meadow flowers and are meant to attract more bees, especially since we all know what a big danger these little creatures face lately.

I still haven't planted them as I am not sure if they would resist indoors, but I can't wait for spring to find them a better place in my parents' courtyard, where I know they will have a long and nice life ahead!

Another item that I absolutely love is the Hive themed bottle, also made of recycled materials, but which I started using right away as it has the perfect size and shape to use when drinking tea in the morning, having water during park walks, or even for the day-to-day use at the office.

And last but not least, my @worldmappin outfit that I will happily wear from now on during my trips, which is composed of a double print t-shirt (which Sky already tried to steal, as you can see), and a bandana headband, which I never have missing while hiking the mountains. As a little spoiler, after receiving the goodie bag and constantly complaining for the last 2 years that I haven't travelled anywhere, I finally booked a very interesting location just 200 km away from where I am currently living, and which is going to happen really soon, but I already can't wait to wear this outfit and write about my experience out there.

Once again, I want to thank Liz and Detlev, but also the whole team behind Worldmappin that makes this platform a better place for all the travel enthusiasts out there. I am forever grateful for your hard work and for this fantastic goodie bag! ❤️
