Querida comunidad de Hive Blog, hoy nos reunimos en un espacio de reflexión y acción, en el marco de la campaña de sensibilización sobre la recepción de denuncias a mujeres víctimas de violencia. En este evento, celebrado en la sede del Destacamento de Apoyo Aéreo Nro. 61 de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana, hemos tenido el privilegio de escuchar a voces valiosas que nos han guiado en este camino hacia la justicia y la empatía.
Agradecemos profundamente a la Abogada Oriannys Carreño, Fiscal Superior Auxiliar Coordinadora de la Unidad de Atención a las Víctimas; a la MSG. Lidys Marcano, Analista de Formación FEMSUR; y a la Abogada Danileth Castellano, Consultora Jurídica de IREMUJER. Su compromiso y dedicación son faros de esperanza en la lucha contra la violencia de género.
La violencia hacia las mujeres no es solo un problema individual; es una herida que afecta a toda nuestra sociedad. Hoy, más que nunca, es crucial que seamos conscientes de la gravedad de esta problemática y de las diversas manifestaciones que toma. Cada historia de sufrimiento es un recordatorio de la necesidad de construir un entorno donde las mujeres se sientan seguras, apoyadas y empoderadas para hablar.
El estoicismo nos enseña a enfrentar las adversidades con fortaleza y serenidad. De la misma manera, instamos a cada uno de ustedes a ser parte activa de este cambio. Spousal violence seems so universal regardless of culture and politics. When we don't face and expose this practice then we only have ourselves to blame. Or this will perpetuated in following generations of families. Such violence is wrong, plain and simple and we need to support and encourage our sister in those circumstances.
I have on more than one occasion sheltered an abused friend but her husband discovered I was sheltering her, it wasn't pleasant stepping in between him and my friend.
