The End of the "Weekly HSBI Giveaway for the Splinterlands Community"
Hello Splinterlandians,
Normally, this is where I write about the Splinterlands news from the past week. However, today I would like to focus on another topic, namely that this giveaway series is coming to an end. You can find out more about the reasons for this and what will happen next at the end of the blog. Nevertheless, I will answer some of the questions from the last giveaway and also raffle off an HSBI.
Your Answers to the last Question:
Last week's question was "Are you in a Splinterlands guild? If yes which is it, if not why?". This time 10 people took part and answered the question. Let's have a look at some of your answers.
Every splinterlands player should be in a guild, in fact I'm in two with different accounts, I'm leading both with the help of @estebam and @cherokee4life
Our guild is NFG-Club, Legions 1 and 2.
I completely agree with you, every player should be in a guild. There are really only advantages. That reminds me of one of my first blogs about three years ago, in which I wrote about the advantages of being in a guild. It's cool that you're even organizing two guilds!
GOAT Monsters, it's a nice little guild with a very active co-leader - but unfortunately the founder is MIA. It really sucks that it's impossible to remove them, even though they haven't been active nor logged in for years. The guild is no world class, but we have a few good players and generally make first or second place in the brawls, giving us some good earnings from that. Always looking for active members, too. Just saying... :-D
Okay, that's really annoying. I would say just start a new guild, but that's not so easy in Splinterlands because you would have to start from scratch leveling up the buildings. There really should be some kind of feature to remove inactive leaders. Have you tried contacting official Splinterlands support? Maybe they can help you.
Both my accounts are in guilds. It's really important not just for winning gladiator cards in brawls but to boost SPS won in ranked battles. It's also a good social aspect as the only chat service in game. My main is in peakmonsters riftwatchers and my alt is in ganks squadron
You list some of the most important advantages, and they really shouldn't be underestimated! I consider the Gladiator cards to be very important, firstly because of the Brawls and secondly because some of them can also be played outside of the Brawls.
Yes, founding member of the Legendary Dragons.
Wow, as the name suggests, this is a truly legendary guild! Especially in the German-speaking world. I remember when I first started playing Splinterlands, I never thought I'd have anything to do with you guys. But today, I'm playing against you in Tier 5 Brawls with my guild “Landstreicher.” It's kind of funny. I definitely have a lot of respect for you guys, and I didn't even know you were a founding member. That's awesome!
My Answer to the last Question:
I have been a member of the “Landstreicher” guild for about 2.5 years. There are many German speakers in the guild, but we also have some international members. We now even take part in Tier 5 Brawls, where the competition is strongest, but of course the rewards are also potentially the highest. We also have a second guild, the “Vagabunden,” which includes smaller accounts.
Of course, we are always looking for new members for both the first and second guild. It's really amazing how many guilds are in the same situation. Hopefully, growing player numbers will solve the problem.
Finally, I would like to mention again that I really only see advantages in being in a guild. Even if it is only a small or not so active guild. I was also in a smaller guild at the beginning of my Splinterlands time and only joined “Landstreicher” later.
And the Winner is...
It's time to draw the winner of the last giveaway.
Congratulations @cherokee4life, one HSBI has been sent to you!
Other participants: @olaf.gui, @middle-earthling, @doombot75, @nozem01, @snowboarderpete, @beelzael, @artofkylin, @alexvan, @hatdogsensei
No further Giveaways of this Series:
Unfortunately, there have been several waves of DV attacks in recent days that have affected giveaways similar to this one. My blogs were not affected, but I have decided to end this giveaway because I don't want to risk DVs and my account. I have spoken briefly with the relevant person and DVs on my blogs are not guaranteed, as some things are constantly being rewritten and there is a lot of interaction from you, but I want to play it safe.
In addition, I have received a lot of praise for my “normal” blogs in recent days and would rather spend my time on them.
I will miss communicating with you about Splinterlands and summarizing the news every week, but perhaps we can achieve the same kind of communication on my “normal” blogs. I would really appreciate that. A little tip: following me could definitely help. 😊
What is also worth mentioning is that, in my perception, the pressure on the HSBI project is slowly growing. I can understand some of the criticisms people have, but I don't really share them. I still think HSBI is a good project. That's why I might just give HSBI to accounts that interact with my blogs in the future, without any pattern, just on a whim. That way, I might also be able to encourage interaction, as I described in the previous paragraph.
Finally, I would like to thank you, the regular participants, and especially those who have always written very detailed comments. You will, of course, continue to hear from me, and my blogs will focus heavily on Splinterlands. The HSBI that have been sent out will, of course, remain unchanged.
Thank you for reading this far, and as always, I wish you all the best! 😊
Why I'm blogging about Splinterlands?
I want to increase the growth of my Hive and Splinterlands account with the rewards of blogging about my experiences, tactics and much more on Splinterlands.

Why I'm hosting this giveaway?
As a longtime Splinterlands player, I believe that Splinterlands and the Hive Blockchain belong together and should support each other. By sponsoring HSBI shares, you commit to Hive and receive regular upvotes on your Hive blog posts.
What is HSBI?
Hive Social Basic Income (HSBI) is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Hive useres as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. HSBI is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content. You can get more info from @steembasicincome or on their Discord.
HOLY CRAP! I actually won for once! woohooo!!
Suck it, @nozem01 !!!!!
(kidding of course to anyone who doesn't know that me and Noze are basically life long friends) 😁
Haha, I love your rivalry. 🤣
Congratulations mate!
Congratulations buddy!
Yea well in crypto years go by four times as fast so basically we are! 🤣
Hey Flummi, You stopping this series is understandable and I am just glad that I won one before it ended. Because I am crypto illiterate though, what is a DV attack?
DV = Downvote
And "Downvote Attacks" sounds a bit hard to be honest. Another blogs of similar types like this just got repeated Downvotes.
ah gotchya, yeah that sucks :(
Thanks for running the giveaways so far, I do think it gave something to hive and splinterlands as at least you had some engaging questions and commentary but understand your reasoning and I’m enjoying your other posts too, keep them coming!
Thanks for the kind words mate, I really appreciate them!
Thanks for doing these. Even though I didn't win anything it was nice to take part.
Oh, that’s sad. 😅 but as mentioned I will give some HSBI to people who engage with my blog posts in the future, maybe there is a chance for you. :)
Yes, after my kid was born, I've setup him a hive account, as well as a Splinterlands one. In case something happens to me, he will already be set with some assets. victor-alexander is the one of the junior.
Landstreicher got pretty good lately, good players with nice decks.
