Last year in summer I visited the Secovljske Soline in Slovenia during my holiday for some landscape and bird photography. But eventhough there were some birds at the soline they were very far away and not really in reach of my photography equipment. Eventhough with 600 mm I had a very good Zoom lens with me. I explored the soline and took some nice landscape pictures there before it started to rain. In the first pictures here you would not assume that it started raining about an hour or two later when these pictures were made but in the last pictures you can see some clouds and there was a quite hefty rain afterwards. Eventhough the birds were far away it was a really nice opportunity to learn about the soline there and how the ancient romans extracted the salt from the seawater.
