Envidiosa (2024) es una serie argentina que me recomendó mi comadre y que ahora les daré 58 razones para que después de leer estas líneas, la busquen en su plataforma favorita. Bueno, no son 58, pero unas cuantas valdrán la pena para poder verla este mismo fin de semana 😇.
Cuenta con dos temporadas, pero tengo tantas cosas que decir sobre ella que la dividiré y le haré honor a cada temporada de manera separada.

Envious (2024) is an Argentine series that my friend recommended to me, and now I'm going to give you 58 reasons why, after reading this, you should look for it on your favorite streaming platform. Well, it's not 58, but a few will be worth it so you can watch it this weekend.
It has two seasons, but I have so much to say about it that I'll divide it up and honor each season separately.
Envious - Season 1 - 2024.
Es una apuesta de Netflix con el cine latinoamericano. Acá también se hacen cosas maravillosas y para todo público. Las personas que crecimos viendo esos dramas donde todas las películas eran sobre drogas o prostitución, ver que ahora las propuestas son distintas y siguen siendo igual de exitosas y positivas, significa que estamos avanzando en materia de séptimo arte.
Una de las novedades, es que no hablamos de la joven, finales felices, protagonista sufrida o, aquella que al final le pasan cosas buenas. Esta apuesta está BUENÍSIMA, porque muestra a una Valeria (Griselda Siciliani) de edad madura (ya saldrán que los 40 son los nuevos 30 y bla bla... 👎), que es la "mala de la película sin saberlo"; esto sucede porque se autosabotea a sí misma y por ende, su comportamiento perjudica al mundo que la rodea ¿Les parece una buena razón para verla? Porque para mí, sí lo es 😉.
Esta serie, como les explico, es sobre mí 😆. No es porque yo sea envidiosa, fracasada, o no me alegre las cosas buenas que les pase a mis amigas, pero aprendí en 12 capítulos, muchos vacíos que he venido arrastrando durante mucho tiempo y que pienso que son "normales", cuando en realidad es un autosaboteo a lo que soy o he logrado.
Definitivamente, es una serie de mucho humor, demasiado humor, toda Valeria es un humor andante, pero ¿y si esa realidad no la vemos, precisamente porque vivimos riéndonos de todo? Créanme que ni siquiera he terminado de dar argumentos o realizado un espóiler y quiero que la vean en serio.
Valeria podemos ser todas; en mi país se conoce como "no ha tenido suerte en el amor" y es cierto, porque nos vamos agotando en amores inciertos o pensando en modelos perfectos del amor, que cuando vamos a la realidad nos enteramos de que las relaciones funcionan y perduran en el tiempo es porque gracias a las imperfecciones y las formas de vivir su amor sin normas sociales, en esa medida se harán únicos, pero nosotros seguimos quedando vacíos, esperando ese amor ideal.
Las redes sociales también influyen mucho poco, porque ahora vemos esos amores perfectos y nosotras lo queremos tan igual, que no valoramos lo que tenemos o de lo que verdaderamente nos enamoró de esa persona especial o la que estamos buscando tiene que ser tan igual a todo lo que consumimos en la internet. Que cerca vivimos del autosaboteo.

It's not because I'm envious, a failure, or don't rejoice in the good things that happen to my friends, but I learned in 12 episodes about many voids that I've been carrying around for a long time and that I think are “normal,” when in reality they are self-sabotage of who I am or what I've achieved.
It's definitely a series with a lot of humor, too much humor, Valeria is all humor, but what if we don't see that reality, precisely because we live laughing at everything? Believe me, I haven't even finished giving arguments or spoilers, and I want you to watch it seriously.
We can all be Valeria; in my country, it's known as “she hasn't had luck in love.” and it's true, because we exhaust ourselves in uncertain loves or thinking about perfect models of love, and when we face reality, we realize that relationships work and last over time because of imperfections and ways of living love without social norms, which make them unique, but we remain empty, waiting for that ideal love.
Social media also has very little influence, because now we see these perfect loves and we want them so badly that we don't value what we have or what truly made us fall in love with that special person, or the one we are looking for has to be so similar to everything we consume on the internet. How close we are to self-sabotage.
Obviamente, es una serie que gira en torno al amor y la manera de como Valeria lo concibe. Ella tiene una relación de 10 años, desgastada con Daniel (Martín Garabal); en el camino por venganza se enreda con su jefe Nicolás (Benjamín Vicuña) y por último, desde el primer capítulo está allí Mathias (Esteban Lamothe) que es el típico "amiga date cuenta" pero, nosotras por estar pendientes de un "Daniel" o "Nicolás", no vemos que el mundo está lleno de "Matías", y después preguntamos ¿Por qué estamos solas ¿Por qué nadie me quiere? ¿Por qué a ella la quieren y a mí no?
Les digo algo, yo he sido esa Valeria. Buscando lo que veo en otra, esperando el próximo paso que no llega, envidiando la suerte o la facilidad de cómo alguien si da el siguiente paso y yo ni siquiera aprendo a caminar y lo peor, dejando pasar los Matías, porque sigo esperando que Matías luzca como los demás o sea ese "príncipe" que nos pintaron desde pequeñas y no importa si cumple o no con lo que queremos sino que estamos pendientes de la aprobación de los demás.
Obviamente, esto es falta de amor propio, de independencia, de vanidades, autosaboteo, manejo inadecuado de emociones, rabia, mucha rabia sin saber las razones u orígenes de ella y un sinfín de conductas que cada capítulo nos va mostrando y a mí particularmente me hizo decir ¡WAO! Soy yo 💯.
De Mathias a Valeria.
Por otra parte, Valeria cuenta con un grupo de amigas que ¡son lo máximo!, pero, si ella no se siente bien consigo y su situación ¿Cómo puede ser su relación con las amigas? Por supuesto que de alguna manera u otra va a salir a aflorar ese reclamo, ira, reproche de lo bueno que le pasé a otra persona y no a ti o a mí.
Su grupo de amigas: Lu, Debbie, Melina, Carolina (su hermana) son muy comprensibles y aceptan su forma de ser porque "ella es así". Sin embargo, la historia de envidia se repite cuando a cada una de ellas le sale bien algo en la vida, que Valeria ansia y especialmente, si se trata del amor.
Muchas veces he sido esa Valeria que no ha tenido envidia, pero si se ha preguntado ¿Cuándo me tocará a mí? Afortunadamente, mis amigas me han ayudado en ese camino a encontrar y valorar lo talentosa que soy y mi manera de destacar en muchos aspectos, que no he caído tan bajo como la protagonista.

Por último, el trato de la psicóloga es exagerado, pero créanme que es tan buena que se hace terapia gratis. Aunque quedé con la duda si Fernanda era casada o no 😆. Espero que en la segunda temporada se aclaren esta y las demás cosas que quedan abiertas para un nuevo panorama.

Her group of friends: Lu, Debbie, Melina, Carolina (her sister) are very understanding and accept her the way she is because “that's just how she is.” However, the story of envy repeats itself when each of them succeeds at something in life that Valeria craves, especially when it comes to love.

Así que estoy convencida de que di razones válidas para que salgas corriendo a verla 😁.
