1️⃣ What do you consider to be the most important lessons that we should teach our children?
~ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 / 𝐎𝐑 ~
2️⃣ Do you consider failing to be less, equal, or more important than succeeding in life and why?

1️⃣ Thinking about what children truly need goes beyond certificates and perfect reputations. I imagine a child growing with a quiet anchor inside, a gentle awareness of right and wrong even when nobody is clapping. From experience, these are the lessons we should teach our children:
Teach them that Godliness is not only about religion, it is that silent compass inside the heart that whispers kindness when anger wants to speak, generosity when selfishness feels easier, and patience when life seems unfair. We cannot walk beside our children forever, so we must give them a voice inside that reminds them who they are when the world tries to reshape them.
Contentment, which is one of the best lessons a child should be taught, is another seed that saves a child from endless chasing and, in most cases, doom often caused by lack of contentment. A child who learns to appreciate small blessings becomes an adult who does not measure life only by noise and applause. They learn joy in simple things, gratitude in every little growth or achievement, and peace without comparison.
Self-control is a shield, not a cage. It teaches a child that feelings are not dictators, and desires shouldn't control his/her live. A child who can pause before acting learns strength and strength is beyond the physical muscle we see.
We should teach our children that meekness and humility do not make a person weak, they make room for wisdom. There is grace in listening, beauty in soft strength, and dignity in respecting others without losing self-worth.
Hard work, self-discipline, love, compassion, honesty, and respect for every human life rise naturally when these foundations are firm. Children are like fresh soil. Whatever truth we plant is what they grow with. We are not only raising individuals, we are shaping tomorrow’s world through their hearts.

2️⃣ Failure is not a visitor we enjoy welcoming, yet it arrives like rain on dry ground. In the beginning, it feels like you're drowning in Shame, but when the heart settles, we realize it was just a phase. I do not see failure as an enemy, I see it as a mirror. It shows me where I am fragile, impatient, unprepared, or afraid. Success often tells us who we want to be, but failure tells us who we truly are when applause fades and excuses run out.
Failing is inevitable, but the ability to rise, to breathe again, to rearrange broken pieces into a shape stronger than before, is what truly determines greatness. Some victories look small from the outside but are mountains conquered inside.
Success celebrated without a story of failure behind it often feels incomplete to me. Failure trains patience, shapes humility, builds endurance, and paints us with compassion for others stumbling behind us. It whispers deep lessons. It teaches the heart to bend without breaking, to fight without bitterness, to dream again without shame.
So to me failure is equal to success because I feel like for one to succeed you have to fail, that's how you relearn and go again.
I learn from my mistakes/failures to grow and be a step ahead. It's not always pleasant or jolly good, sometimes I feel frustrated and sad, but I make sure the lesson learnt from each failed encounter or scenario sticks in my brain.

I would agree, our faith in God underpins our very lives and conduct to our family, friends and our neighbors.
Most definitely.

You shared some wonderful values here @flawless-dee. Contentment, is such a good one. Also one not many think about. The grass is always greener the other side, is something so many believe. Focusing on others lives, instead of their own. So much missed opportunities there.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Failure as well, it is such a vital part of our growth, as humans.
