Llevo varios días sin publicar en mi blog, no por gusto o por que haya deseado hacerlo, pero estas líneas no han sido pensadas para excusas o largas explicaciones que no vienen al caso. Dicho esto, el quid de la cuestión dirige la mirada sobre la invitación que han extendido desde el proyecto @rutablockchain, si quieres los detalles de la iniciativa pincha aquí que en pocas palabras la actividad propone responder una pregunta muy puntual: “¿Por qué sigues en Hive?”

Obviamente la pregunta no surge de la nada, sino que el contexto que da pie a la pregunta no es más que a la caída del valor de Hive en el mercado de activos de la industria blockchain y que al parecer son menos las personas que se mantienen constantes.

Honestamente no he leído las publicaciones que han compartido otros miembros de la comunidad, pero, la experiencia cuando se tratan de iniciativas de este tipo hay por lo general dos tendencias, por un lado quienes se tienen a inclinar por una respuesta emotiva y hasta romántica sobre el hecho de Hive ha significado mucho en sus vidas, y por otro lado, quienes se tienden a inclinar a la esperanza financiera de que el valor del activo subirá, y no es que esté criticando respuestas como esas, en lo absoluto, son muy válidas y cada quien puede tener sus motivos de continuar en Hive, solo quiero arrojar una reflexión en este sentido, si hay razones (motivos) no hay amor, por lo que no me parece correcto decir que se ama algo (en este caso la blockchain) cuando se tiene un por qué para amar, si hay un por qué, hay interés y el amor no es interesado. Pero, en otro momento podemos profundizar en el amor, pero, lo comento porque incluso yo he caído en ello hace algún tiempo.

But we can delve deeper into love another time. I mention this because even I fell into this trap some time ago.

¿Y que tiene que ver todo esto con Hive?

Si lo pensamos detenidamente, Hive es una especie de ciudad-estado digital, o como bien lo menciona Starkerz y Theycallmedan, un estado de red. En ese sentido, hay es un espacio donde no solo se puede encontrar sentido, sino también vínculos e historias. Lo que me hace pensar que Hive, más allá de la tecnología, sino como una ciudad, una especie de polis.

Ahora bien, haciendo una analogía con las ciudades modernas, como toda ciudad Hive ha sido planificado, ha sido pensado, y eso de algún modo nos interpela, nos hace ser quienes somos en cierto sentido, pero, la cosa no acaba ahí, desarrollemos un poco más esta idea. Cuando pensamos en Hive dirigimos la reflexión en torno a un sistema digital que responde a las características suficientes y necesarias para ser designada como una blockchain descentralizada, que como toda blockchain descentralizada posee un protocolo de consenso, que no es otra cosa que el mecanismo por el cual se toman las decisiones.

Personally, I must say that I remain in Hive because I understand, in a certain sense, the ever-open possibility of proposing new conditions of possibility from the digital realm, or in other words, from on-chain to off-chain.
