Sometimes the can art on beer sells that very beer. The art is good enough, so the beer must be good enough, right?

And that is how my logic worked when I bought these beers. Obviously, I knew these beers would be good. What can go wrong with DIPAs, Triple Hazy IPAs and other similar beers?

But still, the beer art lured me. The beautiful designs, the funny characters, the funny names; all of these just made the beers "Funky" and "Fun"!

I have not really had many of these types of beers (the artwork especially), so I jumped at the opportunity and bought some!

Little did I know that I would be paying for both the beer and the art!

Either way, I needed to celebrate my hard work somehow, so I jumped into these beers. So, please join me as I take you with me on this tasty journey!

Better Judgement Hazy IPA

Before I even opened the can, I just admired the can and the art. It was perfect. I loved it.

The first smell was some caramel malt but more passion fruit from hops. It almost smelled full bodied.

The first taste was not that powerful as the notes on the nose. It was nice and bitter even though it only had 18 or so IBUs. But it was also weirdly refreshing at the same time, nice and bitter which makes it somewhat heavier than I expected.

It had perfect carbonation and it was overall a very good beer... But it was way overpriced my opinion. This beer was almost $4.00 where a similar beer would usually set me back about $2.00.

Either way, the artwork made it worth it.

Wild Card Pale Ale

Again, the beer art was just top notch. This beer was not that expensive. So it made it a bit better.

It had a nice hoppy overload on the nose; some passion fruit or grapefruit but more pure hops like opening packet of hops before brewing. It was more pine and citrus.

The taste was slightly sweet, and it had a nice fruitiness. It was not too full bodied, same hoppy flavour as on the nose.

It was overall just a lovely beer, with a lovely taste, and it was nice and easy drinking.

In the end, these were some very nice beers, albeit on the more pricey side. But sometimes you just buy the beer for the beer-art!
