Splinterlands art contest / Digital art of Medusa

Hello friends,
So excited about this week splinterland contest, as i would be entering the contest with the character Medusa. She's not new to anyone, may be some. She is a beautiful human female with living snakes as her hair, any one who looks upon her face turns to stone. She has been portrayed in many movies and viewing her as a splinterland character is quite interesting.
I made my impression of her as i saw fit, I enjoyed drawing the snake as well as drawing a womans hair. Its quite unique cause they are in motion(snake). Apart from the fact that they are live snakes, they are poisonous. So the whole concept from the rough sketch and the adding of the Hair. Then the adding of colours, showing of contrast and highlights. In general I'm glad it came out okay.

Medusa

First of all i sketched the image using scribbling technique which brought out the form then i added a dark layer which is the base tone for my drawing. After which i began to add values to the work by adding lighter tones step by step using scribbling technique. I had a lot of trouble in drawing out the hair which took a lot of time to finish, i had to find a way to make them stand out, I made several adjustments before getting my final image. This drawing was made on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A using the ibis paint app. I hope you all love this thank you all so much for visiting my post.
