Splinterlands Arts Contest Week 355: Helmet Kharafax
Hello everyone, how are you feeling today?
It is a new week to participate in the splinterland contest for the week, and this week I will be doing a post on the character, Helmet Kharafax.
This is my first time of drawing this character, and I have barely heard of the character before. Quite a handsome figure. The moment I saw him, I thought his superpower was his charms and handsomest.
In selecting a character, it is important to know the character, especially it's ability. The strengths and weaknesses of the character will aid your selection, because no one would want to pick a player with a liability. This is why I have decided to share the background of the character, his strength as well as some of his weaknesses.
This is the background of the character:
Humboldt Kharafax is the Poet Laureate of greater Khymeria. There are many whispers, especially in light of his most recent works, that he sympathizes with the forbidden rebellious sect known as Peacebringers. If the Order of the Silver Shield were ever able to prove this theory, the old man would vanish faster than the Peacebringers’ coded chalk messages during a strong rain. Kharafax’s wife died long ago, but not before their only Khymian son was delivered. His name is Helmet, and he is his father’s pride. The old poet has always encouraged his son to make his own decisions in all aspects of life, even so far as allowing him to shun the Order if he so chose. The young and handsome yellow-headed lad has not shown any inclination to turn his back on the Order, nor has he dedicated his life in service to them. Helmet adores the hunt, which has led him to travel to every different Splinter. He has hunted in the Southern Waste of Mortis where the dead walk, and he has hunted in the wild jungles of ΛZMΛRÉ, where every unknown thing can mean certain death. He has lopped arms from the dreaded Vigilator of Draykh-Nahka with Dragonsguard on his tail. He has even slayed a Rexxie in the Giant Grasslands of Primordia. Helmet’s next great challenge (entirely against the wishes of the Khymian Priests) is to become a victorious professional Gladiator in the Moxian arena. Link
Here are some good rulesets about the character:
• Helmet Kharafax only costs 2 mana to summon, making it a good choice for low mana games.
• Amplify increases the damage of all counters, making Helmet Kharafax a good choice in this ruleset.
• Helmet Kharafax has Bloodlust, which pairs well with Opportunity by helping it snipe the weakest enemy. Helmet Kharafax doesn't have Opportunity on its own, so it likes 'Equal Opportunity'.
• Helmet Kharafax can be used as a good focus fire target in the 'Target Practice' ruleset.
• Helmet Kharafax has a bit of armor (maxes at 2), helping it survive at least one hit (even if it's Magic) in the 'Weak Magic' ruleset.
• Since there are no Magic attackers in the 'Lost Magic' ruleset, it makes debuffs affecting Melee monsters (Demoralize) or Ranged monsters (Headwinds) more valuable
• Helmet Kharafax has Void, which is useful for the 'Broken Arrows' ruleset.
• Helmet Kharafax has a high health-to-mana ratio (3), making it a cost-effective option for survivability in the 'Back to Basics' ruleset.
• Helmet Kharafax has two abilities suitable for no-melee fights (Magic Reflect, Return Fire), making it a great card for the 'Keep Your Distance' ruleset. It will counter all attacks in this ruleset, making it a very strong choice.
• Helmet Kharafax costs 2 mana to cast, so it is eligible for Little League. Link
Here are some ineligible rulesets about the character:
• Helmet Kharafax has no melee attack, so it cannot be played in the 'Up Close & Personal' ruleset.
• Helmet Kharafax has an even mana cost, so it can't be used in 'Odd Ones Out'.
• Helmet Kharafax has no magic damage, so it cannot be played in the 'Wands Out' ruleset.
• Helmet Kharafax has no ranged damage, so it cannot be played in the 'Going the Distance' ruleset. Link
