Hello everyone, how are you feeling today?
For this week's splinterland contest I will be doing this post on the character, Dalthin Ironhood.

The last time I did this drawing, I said the major attraction I have with this character is the fact of it's resemblance with the dwarves in some of the movies i see, like the lord of the rings.

The beard did not come out the way I hoped for but I think the picture is clear of the character.

Some background on the character:

Dalthin Ironhood is an EPIC rebellion card. He is a Ranged unit from FIRE ELEMENT, and on this occasion, I was lucky enough to try his abilities.

Dalthin Ironhood is equipped with the WEAPONS TRAINING ability since the first level. WEAPONS TRAINING is an ability that can be used to grant attack power to nearby No-attack units. Since it is a Ranged unit, Dalthin Ironhood will grant Ranged Attack power to them.

At the third level, Dalthin Ironhood gets a new ability (IMMUNITY). IMMUNITY is an ability that can protect the owner from various kinds of debuffs, both targeting debuffs and AoE debuffs. The reason I am using Dalthin Ironhood this time is because it has the IMMUNITY ability that can ward off debuffs that will be given by one of the rulesets in the battle below.

His last ability in the form of REDEMPTION can only be obtained when he reaches his maximum level (level 6). REDEMPTION is an ability that can only be activated when the owner is defeated (by units from the opposing party or certain conditions). When this ability is active (when Dalthin Ironhood is defeated) all units from the opposing party will receive 1 point of damage equivalent to the damage received when attacked by Melee or ranged units. So as long as a unit has ARMOR when REDEMPTION occurs, it will only lose 1 ARMOR. And if it has the SHIELD ability, REDEMPTION will not deal any damage to it at all.

I can only rent Dalthin Ironhood in the battle below at level 3. Because the number of cards for rent is still limited and the rental price for cards with higher levels is also very expensive. Link

The character is also associated with ironwood, a type of wood often used for carving. Specifically, there are numerous examples of hand-carved ironwood dolphin figurines and sculptures, which are sometimes referred to as "Ironwood Dolphin" or "Carved American Wooden Ironwood DOLPHIN". Link

Some good rulesets for the character:

• Dalthin Ironhood has a lot of armor (maxes at 5), making it a terrific card to survive all types of attacks (including Magic) in the 'Weak Magic' ruleset.

• Dalthin Ironhood has a lot of armor (maxes at 5), making it a terrific card to survive when there's no Magic thanks to the 'Lost Magic' ruleset.

• Dalthin Ironhood has Immunity, making it helpful for survivability in Noxious Fumes.

• Dalthin Ironhood does ranged damage but doesn't have the Close Range ability on its own. However in the 'Close Range' ruleset it gets the ability to attack in the first position.

• Dalthin Ironhood has Immunity and is therefore immune to Cripple. Link

Some Bad rulesets for the character:

• Since Dalthin Ironhood is a Ranged monster and doesn't have Reflection Shield, it will take damage every time it attacks in the 'Return Fire' ruleset.

• Dalthin Ironhood has a decent amount of armor (maxes at 5), which is lost in the 'Unprotected' ruleset. Link

Ineligible rulesets for Dalthin Ironhood

• Dalthin Ironhood costs 7 mana to cast, so it can't be used in 'Little League'.

• Dalthin Ironhood is Epic, so it cannot be played in the 'Rise of the Commons' ruleset.

• Dalthin Ironhood has no melee attack, so it cannot be played in the 'Up Close & Personal' ruleset.

• Dalthin Ironhood has ranged damage, so it cannot be played in the 'Broken Arrows' ruleset.

• Dalthin Ironhood has an odd mana cost, so it can't be used in 'Even Stevens'.

• Dalthin Ironhood has no magic damage, so it cannot be played in the 'Wands Out' ruleset.

This is the image of the character I saw online:

Thanks to @cieliss for the opportunity to rebrand the post and include a much more interesting detail about the character.

Thank you for your time...
