| Этот красивый цветок - моё очередное ботаническое открытие. Шла я как-то в обеденный перерыв через заросший лужок и заметила в середине яркое пятно каких-то цветов. Издали я не разобрала, что за цветы. Поэтому прошла к ним поближе. | This beautiful flower is my next botanical discovery. I was walking through an overgrown meadow during my lunch break and noticed a bright spot of some flowers in the middle. From a distance, I couldn’t tell what kind of flowers they were. So I walked closer to them. |
| Цветочки мне понравились, я не видела такие раньше. Решила сфотографировать их. Заодно и поискать, что же это за растение. | I liked the flowers, I hadn’t seen any like them before. I decided to take a picture of them. And at the same time, I’ll look up what kind of plant it is. |
| Интернет уверенно определил цветы как смолку клейкую (лат. Viscaria vulgaris). Цветы я раньше не видела, название такое не слышала. | The Internet confidently identified the flowers as Viscaria vulgaris or sticky catchfly or clammy campion. I had never seen this flowers before, and I had never heard of such a name. |

| Этот цветок давно используют в декоративном садоводстве. Странно, что раньше я его не замечала. Из бонусов – это многолетник с вечнозелёной листвой. К осени кончики листьев меняют окраску на красный цвет и так стоят до весны. Благодаря этому смолка продолжает украшать цветник. | This flower has long been used in ornamental gardening.
