Эту эпичную картину я увидела 24 марта, уже подъезжая к дому по своей улице. Сначала меня удивили потоки воды, хотя день был без дождя. А потом я увидела вот этот фонтан, бьющий из люка. I saw this epic picture on March 24, already approaching my house on my street. At first I was surprised by the streams of water, although it was a rainless day. And then I saw this fountain gushing from a manhole.
Стоящие вокруг прохожие снимали на телефоны этот незапланированный фонтан. Я остановилась и присоединилась к ним. Вижу такое первый раз в жизни. Passersby standing around were filming this unplanned fountain on their phones. I stopped and joined them. I have never seen anything like this before.

Воды вылилось уже довольно много. Улицу начало подтапливать. Quite a lot of water had already poured out. The street began to flood.

Был вечер, солнце садилось. Мощный фонтан в лучах закатного солнца выглядел довольно красиво. Но всё-таки это было скорее пугающее зрелище. It was evening, the sun was setting. The powerful fountain looked quite beautiful in the rays of the setting sun. But still, it was rather a frightening sight.
Приехав домой, я, на всякий случай, налила несколько баллонов воды. Вдруг, перекроют? Arriving home, I, just in case, filled up a few cylinders of water. What if they turn it off?
В местном чате я нашла сообщение, что сорвало пожарный кран. Воду у нас дома не отключали, а с аварией разобрались лишь через несколько часов. I found a message in the local chat that a fire hydrant had broken. The water in our house was not turned off, and the accident was sorted out only a few hours later.
