While reading some of the posts, I've appreciated how each person defines their gift-giving style. Therefore, I'd like to participate by answering question 1: If you could give something with great potential this holiday season, what would it be, who would you give it to, and why?

In my case, I'm a very observant woman, fortunate enough to have lived a long life and, therefore, to understand human nature.

I believe that to give gifts or any kind of surprise, it's essential to understand human nature and consider the context in which the gift will be given. For example, I believe that each date has its own meaning, and the gift should reflect that. A birthday gift isn't the same as a wedding anniversary gift, a Valentine's Day gift, a gift for achieving a professional goal, a gift for the birth of a child, or a Christmas gift. At least, that's what I think.

But in all cases, you should know the person's tastes, because that way the gift has a really nice effect.

My husband, for example, doesn't like it when I ask him what to get him, because he loves the excitement of that moment and he always likes and appreciates the gifts I've given him. For Valentine's Day, we give each other poems, because it's a tradition he started.

For Christmas, I give her her favorite beer, and for her birthday, I try to give her something she'll like: perfume, a plaid shirt, or a CD with songs by her favorite singers.

I know each of my children well and I know what they like and what makes them happy. For Christmas, I give them my wishes for good health and well-being, since they don't live with me, but in another country.

I give my sister Marina a birthday party, because she enjoys this kind of gift more than anyone: it's a time for family togetherness, and as the older sister, she loves seeing the family reunited.

And I have another sister who doesn't need anything materially. You'd think it would be very difficult to give her a gift, but it isn't, at least not in the case of my sister Sol. Many times, a personalized card, a photo with her family, or a similar little something with Christmas pictures of our families has brought tears to her eyes.

Mis saludos a todas las mujeres emprendedoras de esta comunidad y a los caballeros que, como @abelarte, nos acompañan en este hermoso espacio.

Al leer algunas publicaciones, me ha gustado la manera en que cada persona define su forma de regalar. Por ello quiero participar respondiendo la pregunta 1: Si pudieras regalar algo con gran potencial para estas fiestas, ¿qué sería, a quién se lo regalarías y por qué?

En mi caso, soy una mujer muy observadora, con la dicha de haber vivido mucho y, por ello, de conocer la naturaleza humana.

Creo que para hacer regalos o dar algún tipo de sorpresa es necesario conocer esa naturaleza humana y tener en cuenta el momento en que se va a regalar. Por ejemplo, considero que cada fecha tiene su significado, y el regalo debe ir acorde a ello. No es lo mismo un regalo de cumpleaños, que uno de aniversario de bodas, del Día de los Enamorados, por el logro de una meta profesional, por el nacimiento de un niño o por Navidad. Al menos, eso es lo que pienso.

Pero en todos los casos, se deben conocer los gustos de las personas, porque de esta manera el regalo causa un efecto muy bonito.

A mi esposo, por ejemplo, le disgusta que le pregunte qué regalarle, porque ama la emoción de ese momento y siempre le gustan y agradece los obsequios que le he hecho. Para el Día de los Enamorados nos regalamos poemas, porque fue una tradición que él comenzó.

Para Navidad le regalo su cerveza favorita, y para su cumpleaños intento darle algo que le guste: un perfume, una camisa a cuadros o un disco con canciones de sus cantantes preferidos.

Conozco bien a cada uno de mis hijos y sé cuáles son sus gustos y aquello que los hace felices. A ellos, para Navidad, les regalo mis deseos de mucha salud y bienestar, ya que no viven conmigo, sino en otro país.

A mi hermana Marina le regalo la fiesta de cumpleaños, porque disfruta como nadie este tipo de obsequio: es un momento de unión familiar, y como hermana mayor le agrada ver a la familia reunida.

Y tengo otra hermana que materialmente no necesita nada. Uno pensaría que es muy difícil hacerle un regalo, pero no es así, al menos en el caso de mi hermana Sol. Muchas veces, una postal dedicada, una foto con su familia o un detalle similar con imágenes navideñas de nuestras familias le ha arrancado más de una lágrima.
